Can anyone give me pointers on an SLR/Portable studio

Hello,
Venturing out of general discussion to ask if anyone can point me in the direction of an easy to use digital SLR camera for a beginner and a mini portable photo studio.

I will be taking pictures of products for my website as I cannot really afford a professional photographer at this time.
So far I have been quoted £5 per web ready pic but since I have over £1200 products to take pics of that just is not viable at this time.
(I will have the help of a trained photographer for half the pics)

I do not wish to spend more than £400 on the camera.

So far I have been recommended:
Nikon D3000
Sony Alpha A330
Olympus E-520

and told to purchase a photo studio from these guys.

What do I go for?
If you know of a camera not mentioned above please let me know.

thanks

I would probably go for the Nikon
I have a D5000 and I love the camera and service I get from Nikon.
You will have do buy lenses with image stabilization as it doesn't come built into the body.
It also comes with a two year warranty.
I'm a beginner myself and I find Nikon DSLR's very easy to use. I would recommend http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nikon-D3000-...ef=pd_sim_ce_6 this if you ever get stuck.
Hope this helps

I use a popup tent for product shots which you can get on ebay or a camera shop like http://www.warehouseexpress.com/buy-...-tent/p1011575

For the lighting you can get "pro" flashes but to save money i used a pair of 500w security lights on stands which gave a very good result.

Thanks for your replies, I also went on to an amateur photo forum to ask them.

I am hoping to lessen the expense my company will have to pay out, as I do not want to pay £6000 for photos. It would be pointless adding these goods to my online catalogue if I did.
I have always been able to sweet talk maufacturers into giving me their pics. But these are all items we have had custom manufactured for us.

I think I may well have to be extremely pleasant to one relative in particular since they have a lot of photography experience, getting hold of them is another matter.

thanks guys.
