I have to take my hat off to Jenny. She is obviously aware of her complexion but also knows that she is being interviewed for VT and will be shown without make-up. I think it shows a real lack of vanity on her part - otherwise she would wear make up all the time.

Absolutely! Good on her i say, she doesn't plaster make up on just to cover it up. I like her more after seeing that as she is obviously not bothered by it which shows great confidence. Still not a fan of her voice but i like the fact she seems happy in her own skin.
Could she win the competition with a face that repulsive?
Addendum for the PC police: it’s only temporarily repulsively spotty (Scotland doesn’t have much sun) and she’s quite a cutie sexpot with makeup.
However, be honest, at the moment it is very off-putting.

I was very surprised when I saw she was 18 on the OTR website, on the first show I thought she looked about 28!

Probably at that rehearsal the other girls had put make up on where as Jenny just doesn't. Or they just have better skin so it isn't as noticable. It's not just her skin she doesn't seem to have any eyebrows which makes her look a bit odd without make up but as i said above i think it's good on her for not caking make up on all the time.
For example Stephanie in every clip has the red lippy on so it's not the OTW make up team it's her choice iykwim.
Most girls and boys alike go through phases of having skin problems, so it's not a big deal. Good on her for being filmed with no make-up on though - that would be a big deal to some people!!

Yes - pretty sure Lauren didn't have much on in one of the VTs; she looked very tired, I thought, though still pretty. Also Sophie didn't either and she was wearing her glasses for an interview.

No, she certainly isn't pretty. With a huge amount of make-up she can get away with just below average looking. Without it, she really shouldn't be allowed out in public.

Yes, the poor girl can't help having spots! And I think she is still very pretty... not that it matters anyway. This is a singing competition, not a beauty pageant.
I could be wrong, but going by the usernames on this thread, the ones who have been most 'offended' by makeup-free Jenny are male.
It always makes me laugh when you hear men say they prefer women without makeup. Yeah right, as long as it's Cheryl Cole or some other natural beauty. Good luck finding one of those

I think those saying Jenny is not pretty without make-up are unable to see beyond her spots. In a few months, she will be free of that and everyone will see that she is pretty - both with & without make-up.

For me beauty comes from within , I would hardly notice spots etc if someone was kind and happy and smiling

Pathetic really.
Maybe its due to my gayness so I don't see girls without make-up often but I'm always like...really shocked to see how different girls look when they aren't wearing make-up.
