Shape of the Crack

It's always (inasmuch as 3 appearances is 'always') the same shape.

Is it always the same crack? The Doctor did say that even if you removed the wall the crack would still be there.

Prisoner Zero referred to them as cracks in the universe - clearly in plural. However, to a non time traveller, the same crack appearing at different points in time and space would appear to be several. So it's quite possible it's the same crack.

In fact, I'm pretty sure it's not only the same crack, but that it's somehow following Amy around. Not sure how or why yet, but I think she's unknowingly dragging it through time and space - hence why it always turns up wherever she is.

I think you're right... it started out as a crack in Amy's (Amelia's) wall, and logically, it would be following her rather than the Doctor, who hasn't a clue what it is (don't forget, he's only actually seen the one in amy's room, the others have been shown to us after the Doctor left.)

If I'm being cynical, it's another unnecessary story arc, in another series of "Companion Who", with guest star the Doctor, which is a shame, I was hoping we'd seen the last of that.

Sadly it's still fashionable in film and TV to confuse equality with inversion.

Oh yes - another thought. Why did Amelia (the girl) not remember there were 6 rooms on that floor before the multiform turned up?

Cos she didn't look at it using just "the corner of her eye"... As ya do.

I'd have to agree with you on this. I didn't much care for Victory of the Daleks. I got the distinct impression that The Doctor was just along for the ride and that Amy Pond had saved the day again.....

... maybe the series finale is that Amy Pond is really a splinter of The Doctor... he got to be a girl and have red hair. Well, it's almost ginger....

But wouldn't she have remembered there were six rooms, even if she could only see five? She was already living there. Unless the crack was already there when she arrived, trashing many theories expounded so far ...

Aw, c'mon, that was only a brief moment out of the whole episode - and she was only following the Doc's lead after all. It was a team effort, no doubt about it. Much better than the Doc working it all out and solving it all himself while the companions sits back and looks terrified...

As for Amelia remembering how many rooms on the floor - how often do you count your rooms? Especially at her age?

I can't look at things out of the corner of my eye; my glasses get in the way.
