She just has this enegry and confidence that makes her very likeable imo. Plus she's the only Scottish one in the competition which has got to be an advantage.

But yeah, I reckon she'll win.

Get her to a Stephanie, Jessica and Jenny last 3 and it could be interesting...........

I like Jenny too but she isn't getting good songs to sing apart from Songbird which she sang beautifully.
I don't think she will win and in fact I reckon that she will go fairly soon unless she gets a good song next week.

I hope not. She has an annoying voice and she bores me.

Personally I find her extremely irritating and she is not the strongest contender - she didn't shine this week. I think she should have been in the sing off with Emilie.

I take from this post you are a Scot. Her nationality has nothing to do with her ability to play the role of Dorothy.

I think she's one of the best all round, but I think in the end she'll lose out in the because she doesn't look the part, in the traditional way.

I would think the OP is almost certainly not a Scot. As a rule, it's only non-Scots who claim that Scottishness is automatically an advantage in such programmes. As a Scot, I take it as an insult when people imply that we Scots are incapable of judging singers etc by the same criteria as people from other parts of the UK.

On topic, I don't think Jenny will win. She has a nice voice and, unlike a lot of the other girls, she can do subtle, but she depends on getting songs that suit her and, as I don't think she is one of the favoured contestants, she can't bank on that.

Gone off her now after a bright start, her voice is just not doing it for me, not quite sure what it is but something not quite right about it.

Agree totally. I am a Scot living in Scotland and won't vote for her just because she is Scottish. I am not a fan of her sickly sweet voice. She seems a good girl but i prefer Stephanie or Danielle and i have never even been to where they are from.

I am not a fan of Scottish people just because they are Scottish.

She is probably one of my least favourites along with Jessica and Emilie

Her voice is passable and she tries hard (possibly too hard) but there is just too little sparkle.

I like Jenny and she can be brilliant, but when her voice goes all nasally it's not nice. I don't think she'll win, as she's not quite right for the role imo.
As for being Scottish, I certainly don't think it'll harm her chances in the competition. On the whole, Scots are far more patriotic than people from London, say. But I agree that the majority of her fans will be voting for her not because she's Scottish, but because she is talented.

Agreed. If she has another week like last Saturday I would be amazed if she wasn't in the bottom 2 this week.

Songbird was amazing, but I thought she was weak in the group performances this week. I think she is really likeable but she has got to be strong again this week. Just alright isn't good enough.

Being Scottish didn't keep Ashley out of the bottom 2, and in my opinion she was much better than Jenny, even if the lord wasn't that keen.

I don't tarnish all Scots with that brush by any means, but look at Leon Jackson-there can be no other explanation....

On topic I really like Jenny and hope she goes all the way

She's only not right for the role if people are stuck on Judy Garland look alikes and they continue not to make her look more like Garland with blonde hair. Even now she looks more like ALW's spec than Sophie or Lauren or Steph who all look very 21st century 20 year olds. Blondes would have been common in Kansas so thats no real issue. Facially she could easily look younger if they wanted her to. They Dorothied up Dani and Lauren this week but they still haven't shown us Jessica or Jenny fully in role. They also haven't let us see who might add a comedy element to the show which I think would exclude most of them. True she's been inconsistent singing, but then so has everyone who has been taken out of their comfort zone and had much variety to sing and the inconsistent label has never actually been true of anyone after the show given that then they shouldn't be cast to sing the inappropriate songs they get on the shows.

The point about the week two song is that its most like what she has to sing and was even sung by Eva Cassidy. What matters is if she can sing what she has to sing and grab an audience and at the moment her competition hasn't been given anything that close to see if they can do it. Thats odd because she is the one they tested and she passed only for her to be given something insipid this week. Jessica and Stephanie are still being given more upbeat numbers, Lauren seems to fade in and out singing anything similar and Danielle on what she has been given so far is too insipid (or understated) and emotionally detached to keep a audience awake even if she otherwise looks right.

ALW's got a real problem because the people who have any hope of keeping an audience with them either don't look like what people expect or they look too old or too modern or they are quirky and will put some people off. Even stranger Jenny and Jessica are being kept away from looking like the role and given weak songs, Stephanie hasn't yet been unleashed as the full Dorothy she may be and Steph has been allowed to flourish even though ALW and the judges rightly say she can't be Dorothy. In this case the youtube viewing figures are telling him something with Steph, Jenny Jessica and Stephanie topping the list, but it may not be what he wants to hear about them or the others.

I don't agree, but this is neither the time nor the place for that discussion.

I could not disagree more. Jenny bores me to tears. I do not see how she can hold an audience any better than Danielle, who draws my eye to her every time she's onstage, even in the group numbers. Jessica does have stage presence, but she's a freaking bull in a china shop onstage and her voice is sorely lacking. I think that "holding an audience" is highly subjective, judging from the wide variance of favorites on this show.

I would much rather cast someone who can act, sing and dance the role and who looks the part, than either someone (like Jenny) who is competent but boring with an annoying voice, or someone with stage presence and really nothing else (Jessica).

Goodness, I hope not!

She seems like a nice girl with a lot of 'spunk' but she's got a really annoying childlike voice which isn't a pleasure to listen to when singing musical theatre (much more suited to rock numbers where she can just shout it out more) and she doesn't look like a Dorothy to me. I find her one of the weakest in there.

She was one of my favourites in the first week and now shes probably my least favourite after Emilie.

I'm not sure why really but it started with the raspberry blowing to camera which irritated me and shes carried on irritating me since.

oh no. i'd prefer not. She may be Scottish like me, but I'm not that patriotic.

She reminds me of that girl from the wild house.

I'd love Jenny to win. Partly because she's great and partly because I bet on her to win @ 9/1.

I am Scottish but that's doesn't prompt me to vote for Jenny at all, even my Mum and Dad live in the village she's from. I also vote for Jessica and Steph too.
