I remember reading something about Shane Connor who plays Joe Scully being caught smoking some sort of illegal substance on set and given the sack from Neighbours.I guess that is why he has been written out all of a sudden but I was wondering if anyone knows if this is indeed true and if/when a new actor will be coming in to take his place.

The reasons behind Shane's sacking are unknown, it is going through the courts so we probably won't find out until it is over. I don't think any actor could replace Shane as Joe as he was so unique!

Well bringing another actor to replace JOE would be ni-on impossible.

Though as this is Nieghbours, I suppose they could always bury him/cremate him, and bring someone else in six years later to play JOE.
