For me, no. I prefer The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances and The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit. But it is very good.

It's certainly my favourite up to now but I have a sneaking feeling that might change come 19:30 on saturday evening. Or at least I hope so

TBH...I really cannot remember what your exact point was!

But I'll have a look and see if you were right or not

EDIT:

Okay know i now where all of this started from...it was Tinny's post, where she felt that the Doctor wasn't being cruel....I can't speak for her, but I on the other hand have said right from the start that the Doctor can be cruel. But the point in this was that he tried to be kind in the first place, by allowing them to die naturally, but that didn't work, it caused more death and destruction. So he lost all that mercy and kindness, and reverted to his cruel side, which i have argued has been shown right from the beginning in all shapes and sizes...and also in the books. So him doing such a thing is not against his nature completely, he may not like it deep down, but when the push comes to shove, he will do it, after all, he was reponsible for "killing" his own people....in other words trapping them in a Time War bubble, forever! And I know you said about the little girl....while maybe that is what makes it darker...because its not a simple answer, she looks like a girl, but isn't a girl, but yet looks like the girl that the thing possesing her killed. Its not the first time he killed children, the Racknoss remember....they were still children, even if they didn't look like little girls (probably, we didn't see them)....heck even Donna felt sorry for them. But the Doctor was lost in his rage. So what happend in the end of Family of Blood, as dark as it is....its not anything completely new.

As you say, it was Tinny's post saying that the Doctor hadn't been cruel that I was disputing. You agree that he was cruel on this occasion so, as I say, I'm right!
