Billy Joel has written some of the best songs ever written, so whats your favourite. its a tough one but i'll go for 'Just the way you are'. beautiful words put to a gorgeous melody.

While I respect his considerable talent as a musician, I have yet to hear a Billy Joel song that moves me at all. I don't know why but his stuff just doesn't connect with me.

I love so many Billy Joel songs but if I had to pick one, it's Goodnight Saigon. I certainly find it one of the most emotive songs I've ever heard.

"They heard the hum of our motors,
They counted the rotors,
And waited for us to arrive"

Gives me a lump in my throat every time I hear it.

that is such a great great track. originally on 'The Nylon Curtain' album, one of his finest in my opinion. also has 'Allentown' and 'Laura' on it.
