Multi-device remote control two at a time?
I've got so many remote controls I'm going mad looking for the one I need!
What I need is a 5+ device remote control. However, I like the convenience that a couple of my existing remotes (Toshiba VCR and Sky Digital) give me - the ability to control the basic funtions on my TV at the same time as working the VCR/Sky box. I like that I can turn the TV up or over without having to select the 'TV' control button. Is there a multi-device remote control out there that will let me continually be able to operate volume up/down and channel up/down on my Sanyo TV whilst switched to another device (ie, two VCRs, Sky Digital and possibly Sony PS2 as a DVD player)? Hope someone can help! |

The 'All for one' Mosaic remote I have has a 'Volume lock' allowing you to lock the master volume control to a prefered device while having the touch-screen control another device.

Actually even the basic two in one remotes tend to have a master volume. eg when the remote is set to control the video the volume button will still control the tv.

My OneForAll 5, OneForAll 6, and even el-chepo Connect-IT remotes all offer that...
One my OneForAll 6 there is a home theater mode - i have the channel numbers set to my Pioneer Digibox, Volume to the Amp, play/rwd etc to the VCR - even better than Sky ![]() IIRC the ch+- are set to the TV, but i can't remember off hand |
