Nope, and no Im not related to Tony Warren. I used to love EE and even taped it when on hols, but it has become so ludicrous and full of keek I have to say what I think, If corrie descended to such depths of mediocrity then I would slate it too, BTW no offence taken

I think that it is partly Coronation St.'s fault that they didn't win. After all they don't have the best of sites do they. And were the Soap Awards even mentioned on the site? EE have the best site for any British soap out there. It has thousands posting weekly on the boards, and is strongly tied to the Pure Soap site, where you could vote.

Another reason is that EE has more of those under 35 watching, who are more computer savvy than those above 35, which Corrie has been proven to attract more.

Corrie or Emmerdale should have won, as they've had much better years than EE, but didn't so all we can do now is hope that they come up with a fairer way of voting (maybe by phone from a live cermony?) next year.
