Having problems with their BT landlines today?

We live in the 0208 code area and all phones including neighbours ones are dead, When you call via a mobile all you get is the engaged tone but strangely BT broadband is OK!!

Update just called BT via a mobile and there is a fault in the area, They say it should be back on in a hour or so.

There have been a few problems in the Sydenham and South bank areas quite a bit recently, that might also have something to do with it.

I hear that the thamesmead problem is now sorted.
The other one is still ongoing.

Thanks for the replies, Yes we are on the Thamesmead exchange and i can confirm it was sorted out sometime yesterday afternoon, Lets hope they also sort the other problems soon!!

I know of several elderly people who wont have mobiles for whatever reason and rely on their BT landline.

So, not only are you in Bodmin, you've also managed to travel 15 years back in time?

Wow!
