Sounds like Robbie Savage is doing IC/Port tomorrow

ETA: As predicted a day off for Green, wouldn't be surprised to hear him and Ingham on the Brazil game tomorrow

Adrian Durham presented Drive earlier (not sure if he was in Jo-burg or Cape Town - I know Darren Gough who was with him had been in Cape Town last week) but didn't stay on to present tonight's game, unlike yesterday.

Stan Collymore has a day off tomorrow, and with Dants presenting we could hear a first outing for Beeky commentating on one of the games.

It was really great to hear Jim and Alvin working alongside each other on the Netherlands-Denmark game earlier. Best commentary pairing around IMO.

I'm also enjoying the Dants/Stan pairing tonight, there's some nice banter between the two (Stan managed to pun his way "out of jail" over his pronunciation of "Alcatraz" ) and they are working well together.

Dare I say it, but I actually prefer today's commentary pairings to the way they have been paired earlier in the tournament.

Danny Kelly isn't "alongside" Stan. Or anyone for that matter. You're implying that Kelly and Collymore are next to each other.

Eh? It does say "...from London". Alongside isn't to be taken literally I imagine!

That's it. Danny is broadcasting alongside Stan, even if he isn't physically sitting next to him. I'll use the word "with" next time Mr Picky.

Some details ahead of tomorrow (if I heard Danny trail them correctly):

12noon-2.30pm: World Cup Matchday Live with Mark Saggers: New Zealand v Slovakia with John Rawling & Bobby Gould
2.30-5pm: World Cup Matchday Live with Mark Saggers: Ivory Coast v Portugal with Nigel Pearson & Ray Parlour
7-11pm: World Cup Matchday Live with Ian Danter: Brazil v North Korea with Jim Proudfoot & Alvin Martin

Basically what 4-4-2 posted for tomorrow back in #81 has been confirmed by Danny during tonight's phone-in.

Ian's first game of the WC (poor him!). I did predict he'd do some games from Rustenburg *mystic.

Just looking at the Radio Times, I didn't realise Wimbledon started next week.

5 Live have their hands full juggling the two. They had said commentary on all world cup games so next Tuesday they must surely be using extra DAB streams because Sports Extra is covering a Day/Night England v Australia One Day Cricket Match.

On top of Two World Cup Games, Wimbledon and the Cricket in progress at 3pm next Tuesday they also have the Budget to cover. I can only assume Wimbledon coverage will be elbowed from 3pm unless they can have two extra streams? Wonder what they'd do if that Andy Murray was playing at 3pm as well lol.

On the Wednesday it says Sports Extra will be used for Wimbledon coverage right up to 7:30pm so again they must be using extra DAB streams for the USA v Algeria match at 3pm.

Thursday sees Cricket on again so all in all the first week of Wimbledon coverage looks to be suffering badly with World Cup.

You all have internet access, so you should be tuned to the commentary on Radio Sport and Newstalk ZB. It is by far the best commentary on this match. They're passionate, and they concentrate on what's happening on the pitch. That's what I want when I listen to a match. It's a shame they can't do all 64 matches. So much better than 5 Live, TalkSport and ESPN Radio.

With Ian Dennis commentating today, Mike Ingham is reporting on England. I can't beleive that Mike will do the 1st England game and then not do another game for 6 days (the next England game).
