Nothing scheduled recorded whilst away
Came back today to find the red light glowing brightly, the clock was on the display and that nothing has recorded.on my HDR
The last thing I recorded was in non-Freesat mode and I forgot to put it back to Freesat mode before leaving. The HDR was in Freesat mode when I powered it up. Is the leaving it in non-Freesat mode the problem or did I have a power cut? If the latter it can't have been for long as a time switch was showing approximately the right time. I have cycled the power on the Humax just to be on the safe side.

BBC 1 is set to record at 11:30 (UK time). Box switched to non-freesat and then turned to sby. We shall see what happens ![]() I leave a universal remote with a timed macro with my box now when away it switches the box on and off twice a day. |

Update
Box woke up at 11:15 (clock on and red light). Rec icon lit at 11:30 so I imagine it's gone back to freesat and making the recording. I will check after the programme has finished |

Thanks for your effort Graham.
Mine made it to Freesat but recorded nothing. The first recording task would have been the F1 qualifying early on Saturday morning. Thus I assume from your research that my HDR made the change to Freesat mode at T-15 and the glitch happened sometime in the 14 minutes before the start otherwise I would have had a failed recording either in a folder or as an orphan. I was actually using the non-Freesat in "unencrypted" mode so that I could archive a film from ITV1 HD. Would that make a difference? |

I will try starting from that position tomorrow to see if it makes any difference |

Starting from non encyrpted non-freesat made no difference. hdr worked as yesterday I did happen to notice a true on-line 400VA UPS loitering with intent at work gathering dust. It might just fall into the back of the car soon! The fan is too noisy for routine use but it might come in handy whilst away

Reading about programme PRIDs etc.. I still cannot fathom out why..
Concerns. Wife's 'Coronation St. and Emmerdale' When i have seen the progs listed for record in the Guide.. and They have recorded well over the last 4 months.. I never see the Second one of each program in the Schedule for that evening.. One would expect a congruency with Guide and Schedule surely

Imagine if the schedule did contain all recording events it would be excessively long |

Cos you explained it so very nicely Graham..
[I've been watching 'Dorothy' too much ]I will try my best to regard it as a Design Feature.. After all i can forget that the Schedule button exists.. as i have to check the GUIDE anyway.. after waiting for it to update of course.. ![]() But it's damn irritating when i want to make sure that it's going to record..as although 95% are dumped unseen.. IF and WHEN needed it means.. Janet has..for some reason whilst enjoying the opportunity for freedom from LIVE Broadcasts.. failed to watch the Soap on SKY.. Which is a delicate time to find nowt there in the folder.. Ta ever so Stan |

Press schedule and then red for an instant no wait epg. I generally just check the schedule each day for the first recording of double soaps to keep the better half happy.
.Unless the broadcaster has screwed up (very very rare) the 2nd always gets picked up. I am on even more delicate ground today Graham as after checking out our very first Wii ![]() last night..[After checking out the WiFi enabled BBC iPlayer of course..] Janet was told she was OK and really 74 which she is anyway.. I was told that iwas really 70 and in good nick.. but I'm 77.. Anyway I've just tried out as you suggested and find the Box is ![]() at both of us..Cos there BOLD as BRASS after pressing SCHEDULE.. the BOX lights up GUIDE

All times are GMT. The time now is 16:13.
