BT Vision with any Internet provider
Hi,
Now BT allows you to have BT Vision with any phone line but still having to have BT Broadband, when will they allow there BT Vision service to work with other ISP's? Im guessing this will/may happen when/if Project Canvas launches, but maybe they should do it now, this will benefit them with many more customers. What do you think? |

There are now only 5 main wholesale landline broadband providers: BT, VM, Sky/Easynet, Talktalk/Opal, O2/BE and C and W that can provide qoS over their own networks and most will have their own TV offering except for O2 and C and W.
Vodafone, Orange and other ISPs who now use the BT wholesale offering might be able to offer rebadged Canvas based BT Vision using the QoS on the BT broadband network? Will be interesting to see if Sky and O2 offer their own TV players with QoS on their own broadband networks, Sky player currently without QoS gives varying performance, but might mean replacing some routers. |
