dont worry dude, was just showing how the two really find their distinctive routes, Madonna is more experimental while Kylie finds that commercial electric with her tunes.
i wasn't exactly saying they span off of each other but more in those years their albums were in a similar genre but found different routes (if that makes sense) and while Madonna is an idol of mine i do like Kylie
i just hate when hard core kylie or Madonna fans sya, they must be fans of her or her and no one else!! so tiresome and pety!

for me Madonna=LEGEND,GODDESS OF RE-INVENTION/QUEEN OF POP.
Kylie-ICON,THE PRINCESS OF POP,NATIONAL TREASURE

love Madge, and adore Kylie i thank my mum for putting Kylie on haha!!

but i do think one or the other is just silly

I know what you mean. I'm a big fan of both and it does my head in seeing arguments between die-hards. Same goes for Gaga/Chrsitina etc. I like both of them too.

(and by good i mean beareable!) i felt she more or less came into her own in 2001 with that Light Years and Fever sound, she tried to be Madonna waaaaaaaaaay too much but in such a sappy way, Confide In Me was the most authentic song that was closest to Madonna's sound IMO, but with Light Years and Fever it was a newer electronic sound that was a different spin on what Madonna did on her Music and American Life albums which were experimental electronica (and are fantastic!) while Kylie went for the Euro electronica sounds (which was also fantastic!) but i sometimes dont understand the sales for when she released poor albums to be honest, maybe it was due to her being on Neighbours which was as popular as 'Enders at the time?? who knows!?! but Quadruple Platinum for her first two albums is just so...strange to say the least! nowadays if anyone released an album like that thay'd be lucky (no pun!) to see a Silver certification!

but i feel that this will be her third best album she's had by the sounds of it, again it's homage to Madonna...but different, it's not your contemporary electonic sound (Gaga i am fed up with now!) now that electro R&B sounds or Hip Hop (Bey and Jay-Z yawn!) it goes with the flow of what makes the best tunes this year (Gorrillaz Stylo,Kelis' Acapella,Xtina's Not Myeslf Tonight).
Stuart Price provides a different sound here, yes it isn't the masterpiece of Confessions but what will be?!?! the point is that it's got Kylie back to her 2000's sound with her lighter than air pure vocals that shows you don't need to be an excellent singer to get your point across. 2010 has seen the pop scene re-ignited somewhat by these new albums being released.
Aphrodite while the album title is a bit...strange will certainly be a hit as her UK fanbase is so diverse (almost like Take That who i dont really like these days! but still) but while she isn't exactly LEGEND status, she is an icon of the music scene and will be remembered! and All The lovers may or may not be a hit, i thought the same for Xtina's NMT last week but it just missed out! at #12 (i hope it gets higher) but Kyie will be played a fair bit i am sure so there's no excuse fo it not to be a top 5 smash!”

To be objective here, her 'Let's Get To It' album was quite weak, but you simply can't deny that 'I Should Be So Lucky', 'Got To Be Certain', 'Hand On Your Heart', 'Wouldn't Change A Thing', 'What Do I Have To Do', 'Step Back In Time' and 'Better The Devil You Know' are fantastic songs. Kylie and SAW at their very best.

'Fever' and 'Light Years' are my favourites, but her first three albums are up there to, defo.

Love Kylie and Madonna, but there is no competition between Christina and GaGa. GaGa everytime. Her album is simply fantastic.

yeah everyone must LWAYS have to choose and that is just...well...strange to say the least, yes people have preferences but it doesn't mean onew MUST BE better than the other the whole time especially when they're nothing alike really!
i am glad Christina replied with that message against what Perez Hilton was doing pitting her and gaga against each other, it was rediculous and so proud of her for her maturity and honesty, such a genuine person! i like gaga but love Christina! Gaga is growing on me though (i go in phases!)

but when you have an Ipod you have room for them all! and it makes for a wonderful experience, i just have some amazing tunes back to back, and if i went down the die-hards route i wouldn't be hearing some of the incrdible songs i do.
some die-hard Kylie fans really are against any other female singer ad i don't see why, i see Kylie's Sparkly Tiara on reviews for Maonna,Christina,Gaga,BEyonce,Rihanna albums recently just saying "Kylie has a triupmphant return coming soon she's the Queen whoever's a fail and are old and are dull compared to Kylie" and all that crud! so untruthful to be honest! just grow up and get them all!! why must we live in a selective music society when you can mix n'match!

also, live shows are different, Madonna's are theatrical productions with elaborate sets and choreography! while Kylies are concert tours with that showmanship vibe to them, Britney does some of both, Xtina and gaga follow Madonna's route more Cher does similar to Kylie with strange costumes but that emotional presence.

But i LOVE Madonna's Who's That Girl?,(should be mastered for dvd) BLONDE AMBITION TOUR,GIRLIE SHOW and CONFESSIONS TOUR's!!! and Kylie's SHowgirl has got to be one of the most iconic introductions ever with that headdress!!

also, does anyone know when the video for All The Lovers will be released?? soon i would think, might be end of May, sounds interesting with it filmed in a museum and everything!

yeah, for me it's the other way around, Gaga's album is pretty good but i LOVE Stripped and Back To Basics and Bionic sounds just so what pop should be! Christina has been with me more in my stereo and on my Ipod so to me i prefer her, but i like Gaga she needs to come out a bit more though, she appears a bit needy at times to be out there when all she needs is to be herself more, she is a combi of Stripped era Xtina meets Blonde Ambition Madge but with less sparkle and charisma, still better than a few other acts though.
just Christina and Britney do it more for me than Gaga does in terms of albums and video's really, they have been apart of my life for 12 years while gaga only for one so... there's my own opinion there!
and of course i have had Madonna my whole life, she is an idol of mine along with Marvin Gaye,Kate Bush,Eurythmics,Fleetwood Mac and The 'Stones! no one can compare.
and Kylie i just admire so much! she was like the Beyonce of her day lol, also i am sure Aphrodite will have some pretty cool records, may not be a Confessions, a fever or a Thriller but Aphrodite will more than make a stamp on the current pop scene, All The Lovers is just so breathy and soothing as well as dancy and synthy! it has a Pet Shop Boy vibe around it.

yeah i agree!! i think it's best they didnt release it as a lead single though as it's the final track of the album and people will just be skipping to the end to hear that pop stroke of genius!!
i mean it's like Madonna's Confessions era meets Thriller, i love the narration! and the synthy electronic beats, so sexual!! i love it.

Stuart Price knows his stuff!! the only difference is that Madonna COLLABORATED on all the songs as it was a concept album, while Kylie provided the themes for the album and Stuart worked with her ideas for Aphrodite and made the sound that is All The Lovers, nice that she wrote a couple of songs too though! little personal touch

i am sooo excited, there's so much great music out this year!! it's given me a real boost, Kelis' album and Gorillaz Plastic Beach are on the go!! AMAZING SOUNDS!
then i have Christina's EPIC Bi-On-Ic album next month along with Robyn's,Kylie's and the Scissor Sisters and then of course MIA is releasing material in the July and i may give Kelly Rowland a go depending on what direction it is in, maybe the lighter version of Kelis'?? hmmmm???
also later on in the year we have Britney setting an album for a release then, Madonna was rumoured but she is filming W.E so she will have a film out later this year i think and get some material and inspiration for her 12th studio album. and of course we have Cher and Christina in Burlesque this November! with a soundtrack to accompany it! and we have Nicki Minaj's debut album which sounds interesting indeed, and Gaga i think will round us all off in Nov/December time with her second studio album to end The Fame era (finally! lol)
anything else may be a bonus for me!! getting some classics too this year

i wonder when the vid will premiere?!?!?can't wait to see it..she said in a radio interview its not just sexy its actually a 'lovely' video...hope it goes well with such a gorgeous song...

i got all excited over Christina's new songs samples on Amazon from Bionic i forgot about Kylie :O lol, fairly easy mistakah to makeah!! loving BIONIC!! i think that will be MY ALBUM of 2010.
Aphrodite should be good though, got Fleshtone yesterday by Kelis and that's pretty awesome, few mesmerising trance song i must say! and proper old skool house beats too, i recommend it!
after Bionic i think i am excited for MIA's,Robyn's,Kylie's and Scissor Sister's new albums.

I think the video maybe a bit like Slow by the sounds of it, which was okay like the song but not iconic or anything but memorable enough, hopefully the video will break the mould though, i mean it won't be a Thriller,Express Yourself or a Like A Prayer video. but i hope Kylie will make something more memorable than her video's on her X album!
but unfortunately after seeing pics of ATL video and pics of Lady gaga's Alejandro they both look similar, so be warned that Kylie may be accused of ''copying'' which is rediculous but there are some shallow people out there!
but i am sure the video will be something like When Love Takes Over last yea which was a summery video accompanied by an EPIC clubby summer song!!

I hope so, the song has an awesome anthemic quality to it, particularly right after the middle eight. From the pictures I saw there were lots of buff men wearing little clothing!

^^^ oh you guys are too much???

isn't that the basis for all music video's these days anyway?:P haha, Gaga's new one has the same by the image leaked which is...well...typical to say the least.
but at least Xtina did something different with the Vampire look going on which was a nice little touch to NMT.
will Kylie be playing Aphrodite as an alter ego or something for this album, there's al lot of love theme going on here...more so than usual.

NMT is a filthy little pop song, and I love it. Can never quite figure out why Dirrty was a huge hit over here but not in the US.

i love it when she's DIRRTY she's so beautiful and looks brilliant, but the song clips on Amazon.co.uk are amazing for 30 seconds!

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bionic-Expli...62322&sr=301-1

Bionic is sure to be the gratest album of this year for sure, i mean so many fantastic sounds and stunning lyrics in just 30 seconds of it!! it's so experimental and artistic and just shows that the wait is well and truely worth it!

i think the reason why Dirrty is such a hit here is due to the fact that Americans just read waaay too much into things, i find it rediculous, whereas here in the UK we like dirty fun and don't really care so much and take things to heart or take things too seriously for video's, plus we have a very universal music appeal whereas the US just have Hip-Hop on the go, while Xtina is very pop and the images she had was almost anti-pop in a pop way if you see what i mean.
also, i hate that people are saying she's ripping off gaga when in reality she has clips of Madonna video's payed tribute to (Like A Prayer,Vogue,Erotica,Justify My Love,Human Nature and mostly Express Yourself video's) as they revolutionised the music scene, along with some self parody and homaging to Fighter and Dirrty, well it just shows what Gaga is with her video's (nothing without Madonna,Xtina,Bowie,Grace Jones,Kylie etc.) i mean i like her songs but her video's are farrr from original!!!

so NMT is more of a taster and short promo really, it's not a strong song and video but they're surely great ones!! there are far greater sounds, tunes and beats to be found on the Bionic clips i love the album already and it's out in less than three weeks and she's on WOSSY! on June 4th with Eminem too.

i think Kylie will also get something similar in terms of interviews and performances, mostly here and in Oz and maybe Asia i think though, don't know if she's going to crack the US with i or not??? i wish her the best if she tries though, better late than never!

also i wish Radio One would play more of Not Myself Tonight, because they didn't it charted solely on download and narrowly missed the top 10 on the singles and just scraped the top 10 on Itunes, hopefully it'll be a grower as it's a great clubby song!!

No you are not the only one, I don't like it at all at the moment, I hate the intro and the chorus sounds a bit monotonous. Maybe its a grower, but to me it sounds boring, and the glitsy over-production does it no favours...
