I doubt that you can lock the keypad, what would be the point? The idea of locking the keypad is to stop youpressing buttons and calling someone when it is in your pocket, but this is not needed when you have a flip phone

I dont want the kids messing with my phone... at the moment i have to tie it to me backside to keep them away from it... I had a wee panasonic a while ago and you could lock the keypad by pressing the red dial and punching in your code.. I sold it on thinking the samsung was better

You do have an 8 digit phone lock that is need everytime you switch your phone on. That way if your pohone is switched off and someone nicks it then they need an 8 digit code to switch it on.

I dont see the point in the code.. right because if you actually loose your phone how can a kind caring person return your phone by switching it on and phoning your home.?

Read my post about my Data cable for this phone please?

Whilst on the subject, does anyone know if it is possible to disable the buttons on the side of the phone?

My girlfriend has one and if the button is held in, I understand it takes a quick photo.

Thing is, she has lots of quick photos of the inside of her bag!
