Season 10 week 5
Nicole and Derek's tango. Simply one of the most beautiful dances I have ever seen.
It looked like a Jack Vettriano painting come to life http://images.easyart.com/i/prints/r...ze--205025.jpg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OXDOzCHQKuE Gorgeous ♥♥♥ |

I didnt expect to like Pamela Anderson but she is growing on me.......she isnt a bad dancer at all and does play the 'roles' well....she is so spaced out unfortunately but even that seems to be improving a bit.......at least she does spend half the time whinging like Erin and Kate, she seems to be a hard worker.

I thought Pammie was very down to Earth last night, loved the bit where they danced up and back down the table.
Didn't really like Evan's rhumba though. All very clever and pretty but it didn't move me. Once again really liked Chad's dancing, and really found Jake's to be a bit bland. But what do I know

I watched the Nicole and Derek without the music and it is quite striking that way also. Is is just me or does Derek remind you of a young Robert Redford?

The Tango was great one of the all time top DWTS performances. Pretty Woman would one of the last songs I'd think of for a Tango but it worked brilliantly.

I love seeing Niecys vt's as they always make me laugh. I really enjoyed her jive aswell, good music choice also.
Loved Erins Jive and i just love her and Maks together. I don't always like Maks but this series i think he's great. Also loved Jakes Cha cha, and i agree with the judges that he has great energy. Didn't think the music for Nicoles Tango was right but a great dance still. Gone off her slightly this week (on her vt) even though she keeps saying she's goofy like Derek i find her abit too serious. I really quite enjoyed Evans Rumba, nice song aswell. Chad and Pam were so so for me, nothing to really comment on, though i do like them both alot. And all during Kates dance all i could think was how much i love the song and love the film it is from ![]() She was abit annoying in her vt this week for me. |

I thought this week was very entertaining.
Kate: it has to be accepted that some people will never be able to dance, it's just not in them, but the most irritating thing I felt about Kate was that she just didn't try. She used her 8 kids as an excuse for being tired, well fair enough, anyone with 8 kids would be tired (if they had to look after them on their own without "nannies" ....) but then why do the show in the first place? Niecy: her jive was fun, and lively, but it is about time she stopped going on and on about her "jiggly" bits and concentrated on what she is meant to be doing. Evan: Absolutely stole the show for me with his rumba. Unlike SCD, which insists on going on about rumba being "sexy", Evan's rumba was tasteful and just a darn good dance. Nicole: a great tango, helped by real tango music for once, and fab dress. Can't really take to her though; feel she has too much of a "I love me" attitude. Love Derek though!!!! Pam: have to admit to being surprised that she really has potential as a dancer; unfortunately she is being let down by her partner who is really hopeless at ballroom. Erin: a great jive routine - proper jive for once; but she let herself down with sloppy weak feet and ankles; perhaps she should stop yelling and bickering so much and put her energy into the dance because she has potential. Jakes: very entertaining, and a great dance, but not a great cha cha!!! Chad: appalling posture, and I don't think he likes being told what to do - by Cheryl or the judges! |

I especially agree with you about Evan's rumba, for me was a proper rumba, beaufiful done and not over acting or over doing the hips actions. For me was One of the best rumba I've ever seen dance from a celebrity and also like Derek and Nicole tango, beautiful done, but like you I can't put my finger on it, but something bother me about her. But their Tango was great. |

Kaycee I don't need to post my thoughts, because funnily enough I had the similiar thoughts that yours about the couples.

I lked Evan's rumba. It was elegant & understated rather than raunchy.
I am beginning to really dislike Nicole. She seems false ![]() Pam has been the surprise for me. I really like her & hope she survives a few more weeks. |

Niecy & Louis This was her best dance so far in the show. I'm glad she is having more fun and crying less in her VTs.
Chad & Cheryl I think Cheryl is starting to get fed up with Chad's antics. His posture is still terrible. Erin & Maksim Did not like the beginning of the routine with Maks reading a cocktail menu. When the music got faster it was much better. Jake & Chelsie Len is inconsistant! Len complained about Erin & Maks and Pam and Damian messing around in the beginning of their routines but totally ignored the fact that Jake messed around in the beginning of his cha cha cha. Pamela & Damian I'm starting to really like Pam now. Enjoyed their quickstep and hope Pam sticks around for a few more weeks. Kate & Tony Glad she has left the show! Tony should to get a fantastic partner next season after having to put up with Kate. Nicole & Derek This performance was perfect. Should have got a 30. Evan & Anna I was expecting a little bit more from this routine. I thought the technique was good, but would like to have seen more passion in it. |

Was it? i really didn't like it
![]() It's fine not to like it - not exactly my taste either - but it was played properly as a tango, and I would rather have a tune I didn't like played at the right tempo and pitch, than something unrecognisable (Evan's music last week!). |

I liked Pam this week, far less OTT simpering etc., but thought their quickstep was not only too short, but slow and over simplified.... not her fault, of course, I don't think Damian can dance ballroom. |

Was also pleased to see Niecy and Louis having a more upbeat week after a couple of intense ones.

Niecy's "jive" was more like a salsa. Terrible footwork. The music didn't help, but I thought 18 was far too generous.
