I thought he told her not to open her eyes. She's been "infected" by the original angel through her eyes and its trying to get at her soul.

Which is an extra nasty problem with Angels. Not only do you have to look at them to stop them moving but now you mustn't look at their eyes while doing it.

Spoilers:

Because she looked a angel in the eye,Amy nearly dies.She is ordered to close her eyes which scares her.

The angels laugh when they realise the Doctor doesn't know about a huge crack in the universe.

The weeping angels trap the Doctor.They grab hold of him and have a tight grip on the Doctor till they get distracted.

We find out in tonight's episode that River was imprisoned in Stormcage containment facility for killing the best man she has ever known.
