That was BRILLIANT!!!! After all those months of rehearsing that one song, she dies on the big note. It serves her right for being so shit.

I'm sorry if this sounds evil, it was just so damn funny.

I lol'd, but good on her for getting over it with an eye roll and belting it out quite nicely. She showed great humility for one pegged as being ~arrogant.

I think she had overstayed her welcome but, all the same, I felt for her when that happened.

It just proves she is not fit to be Dorothy. At least she has a lot of self belief & wont be beaten

funniest thing ever!

Really ironic that the girl who couldn't hold a note, performs a duff last note! hahaha

I am over the rainbow that she went tonight! She's just proved why she couldn't play Dorothy day in day out.

hahaha very funny!!!

I thought she did very well and I felt sorry for her, yes it was her time to go, but who could blame her for being a little upset.

I totally agree!

We actually recorded it and my little boy kept rewinding it because he found it so funny.

Telly gold.

Although I feel sorry for her. She has been ripped to shreads. all the judges picked her as "Not Dorothy", then she was told she was the bottom number of votes, jessica nearly bit her and then she fouled the note....

Bad night for Emilie

That's a bit harsh.

She isn't the strongest, but she is a lovely girl with something that, with the right training, could be very special.

She got upset, cracked, but rolled her eyes and gave it a good go.

I'm NOT an Emilie fan, but it's horrible to laugh at others' misfortune- especially a young girl who's dream had virtually been shattered.

I said oh dear, especially after she'd sung the rest so well. At least she laughed about it.

It was funny and proves she's not ready ... to be fair she did laugh at herself as well though ...

It was the weakest OTR song so far though ... def

Give the girl a break - she was upset!

Trying for a belt that isn't in the voice just wasn't the right idea.

Especially seeing as that's not how it'd be done in the show.

Emilie sounded more like a Dorothy in that than any of the other girls who have left so far.

Me too - guess the 'good riddance Emilie' posts will continue for a while - but no one makes the last 8 of this type of show without displaying some talent.

I hope she takes time to take on board the advice she's been given, undertake further training and come back to astound her critics.

I think she has talent. But she had to go she was the weakest contestant. She has a lot of self belief so I'm sure she will do well in the future.

it was a bit awkward for her during the last bit but it was ok up until then and she handled the mistake well with a embarrassed smile. I was glad in the end she didn't mess up the singoff and go to pieces after all the judges said it was time for her to go.

The singoff was her best performance actually. Perhaps the better of the two girls on reflection but I still think she was way off being ready for the big stage. More of a talented amateur with a few kinks than the almost-professional needed for a major West End show. with some vocal training and more experience at a lesser level, she'll be able to build a good career.

So do I. She has potential, but she wasn't ready for this kind of pressure and exposure. I hope she goes away and gets some training.

i didn't rate her myself as her voice was too up and down and uncontrolled, but i did feel really sorry for her on that last note.

what happened was that she went too big leading up to the last note and so run out of breath to actually get the final one out. it isn't that she can't hit that last note. i guess though that it's just more evidence of her lack of breathing control in her singing. she could be taught to correct it though.

one thing i will give her is that she's got alot of power in the midrange which is her comfort zone. she can't go very low though and is missing some range between midrange and top end, so at time slips in to falsetto when it really doesn't need to be.

anyway i felt a bit sorry for her. not the best way to end it all. she'll be gutted but well done to her for having the right attitude at the end. it was either that or just ball your eyes out right there on the moon. not a good look
