Nearly fifty years have passed,
We love our Doctors first to last;
From wobbly sets with Verity,

From Vespiform to leisure hives.
Every story has its flaws,
Perhaps we should retract our claws.

We bow our heads to Rassilon,
And pray when Doctor Who is on
If Angels high or beast below
That we can still enjoy the show.

Is it ironic that you came up with such a lovely prayer considering your username????? Great job though...

I have to say that it definitely isn't stressfull being a fan at all....its just the forums that make you think WTF???/ with the way some people say some things....and the way the act towards peoples opions...and the ridiculous thread that are started....and ofcourse the occasional Troll really sucks the fun out of posting on Doctor Who forums.....

But in real life....you meet people from all walks of life who happen to be Doctor Who fans....and you actually end up having a fun discussion...and when I first started finding out so and so was a fan....it would make me feel all so happy inside....it felt like "yes I can finally have a chat using my voice...wooo hooo"....and you find that you don't share the same opinions, but no one ever goes on about how sh*t one writer or actor is, you just have a proper discusion, and your views are respected if not agreed on....so being a fan is not stressfull at all....being a forum member is....

Only if on the same night you are trying to think of enough innuendo to be the leader of the Harkness Party and you'rebeing accusedof allsorts of things and have to think of witty retorts in the Scottish agenda thread.

It's only as stressful as you make it, but I came to the conclusion that most Doctor Who fans were crazy a long time ago...

It was wonderful!*

Can I offer the following which came up in the New Doctor Who thread last year

The Time Lord is my Doctor; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures on New Earth:
He leadeth me away from the Martian waters.
He restoreth my face:
He leadeth me in the corridors of space bases for expositions’ sake.
Yea, though I run through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no Dalek: For thou art with me;
Thy brainy specs and thy sonic screwdriver, they comfort me.
Thou preparest a special before me in the presence of mine critics;
Thou fillest my head with wonder; My cup runneth over.
Surely squeeeness and bouncing shall be mine all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the TARDIS of the Lord forever.

I believe in the Time Lord, the Grandfather, the Cosmic Hobo, the Dandy, the one with the Teeth, the Cricketer, the multi-coloured one, the Umbrella carrier, the Half-human, the Northern one, the one with the Hair and the Geography teacher. I believe in the regeneration of the body and the thirteen lives everlasting.

I like the Time Lord prayer, you should see the Harkness/Barrowman one

Doctor Who fans aren't mental, we're eccentric. And brilliant. Like the Doctor actually. Hmm!
All in all, squee! (t'is my favourite word)

Its something that tends to be associated with fangirls...and their reaction to being over-excited....but really we all love a good squee when we get excited...especailly when it comes to Doctor Who

Bravo!

One tiny question/suggestion. Should it have been "River Song" rather than "River deep"? I've seen some pretty high blood pressures hating on her.

I was thinking more of River deep in the catacombs, as well as being deeply mysterious - but feel free to adapt to your need.

I suppose instead of hands together and eyes closed to pray we assume the position of regeneration. legs apart, arms out to the side and head back......

instead of Amen...Barcelona

Lets all take a breath and enjoy it. Honestly someone is going to burst a vein”

The OP isn't saying that he/she is stressed with Doctor Who...he/she is questioning why are people stressed, and asking them to calm down...
