she has the spoilers book so wouldnt she have known that all the statues were weeping angels?

is she writing it as she goes?

Yeah - someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I think the book just contains all of the information from her own past, including info the Doctor has told her, which is why she has pictures of all of the different incarnations of the Doctor, etc. The "spoilers" are for HIM, not her, because the info in the book is from her past, but his future. Make sense?

but if its an early meeting for the doctors and a late one for river then surely he would've told her and there would be a bit about weeping angels lol

if that makes sense lol

just think of it as her writting it as she goes so she can keep up with where he is in his own timeline. he's probably told her that they meet how ever many times but would not be giving the details as that would change things and thats normally a bad thing.

but she asked him in the ep if he'd been somewhere yet, plus the doctor always says the future can change

meh maybe its my insomnia head kicking it

it just seems weird that he would tell her some things, which she's already mentioned before, but not others hmmm

she's just trying to figure out where he is...its not like he's going to show up and ask what she thought of their last date - especially with the way he keeps time, he could be asking her about it before it happens! she asked him in the Librairy (spelled wrong I know - me tired and dyslexic! lol) episodes if they had done this or that yet too...she's just trying to keep track. we don't know which Doctor she's in a true relationship with...as she definatly acted as if she was that way with #10 and the same with #11...

the future can change - but he's never really said that meaning in a good way. he mentioned it to Amy in this episode to show her that they could die - even though somewhere their futures have already played out. he does not like to meddle with whats to come to much (otherwise there would have been an exacuation before volcano day) if there's something that happens that must happen - and then he warned her about what was to come, things would change. he knew she would die in the library but didn't warn her on that either. he does things how he does them for a reason most of the time...we just don't know yet.

maybe he's messing with her to get back at her for everytime she said "spoilers" lol

Yes, she is writing it in her timeline, so most logically the events from this episode she is writing now, and there still should be nothing in her diary about the events in the Library.

BUT ....
according to SM she IS a time-traveler.
And she is meeting the Doctor on her terms, which for him at least, is in reverse order.
I think she is doing this on purpose, so eventually he will trust her, and she will 'betray' him in a certain way.

I think you're all thick! It's not happened to her so why would she have written it down yet? This is the second time the Doctor has met her. She has met him many times before. He wouldn't tell her things that happen in her future, but he might leave himself clues to save her like in SITL.

In the Library story, when she checked her diary with Tenant, one of the "meetings" she referenced was the "crash of the Byzantine" (sp?) which is the story currently unfolding.

For River in the Library, that was the past. But presumably for the "current" River she has yet to write that entry.

If you think about it, given that she died in the Library story, she had already lived out her time with the Doctor (whichever one it is, presumably a later one that 11th), so in the Library every meeting and adventure they'd had was recorded, but in the diary at the moment there are still entries yet to be made.

What happened to the diary? Was it left behind on the library planet?

Interestingly though it would suggest that while she has images for all the incarnations of the Doctor, she doesn't necessarily know which order they come in!
