Intact toms do tend to be a lot less bonded to their owners, as they have other things on their minds.

But someone must be feeding him, and it would be helpful to find out who. If he is going into a house via a catflap to share another cat's food you could ask the owner to keep him in for you when they see him. Alternatively if food is being left outside for him, ask them to stop so that hunger encourages him to return home.

Just to add a slightly different angle, his behaviour has also apparently co-incided with the recent warmer weather and with spring, an influx of interesting prey challenges.

He is probably out on the tiles all night and sleeping with one eye open all day!

Do get him neutered though once he does dein to come home!
