The Thread Title is "Moments when you love Amy." therefore the sexuality of posters is irrelevant - if you or others choose to interpret that title in a sexual manner then fine - a lot of posters enjoy having a joke on this subject, especially in regard of "the crack" but it is all in fun - I chose, given the OP, to interpret it differently not just because I'm gay but because that was how it was explained to me.

"Oi Churchill!" is probably my favourite so far - not quite up there with "I bloody love you" but definitely close.

Well, does the race and the nationality and the gender distribution interest you as well? Maybe you should start a thread on it, if the demographics rather than the sexuality interests you. I don't care if Who fans are gay, aliens, nerds, housewifes, kids, black, white, red. As long as they are enjoying the show. I can drool over Matt or David with men and females, teenagers and grandmothers alike

Amy is beautiful.

She is also a great assistant.”

The post before that one was about dressing Amy up in a French Maid costume. It was explictly sexual in intent.

This had me laughing as well.

Actually reading all of the comments here, made me warm to her more (I was a bit critical of her). But she had some really good lines.

And doesn't that reinforce something very childlike in Amy's character...just because she looks grown up - haven't her solutions (and even her very blunt addressing of Churchill) been the language of a child from the mouth of an adult? After all...we only have her word that is was so long between Doctor visits...what if she's little Amy trapped in big Amy's body, she was actually picked up when the Doctor intended and somehow, time has gone wimey?

I'm suddenly reminded of Tom Hanks in "Big"

Which 'crack' is this? Perhaps the one the Doctor saw when he made Amy hang out the door of the Tardis in her nightie?

Er, I hate to point this out, but Prisoner Zero also confirmed it'd been watching her grow up for 12 years, and no-one else in the village expected her to be anything other than grown up.

Loved that bit, as well as the cheeky knee bend that River did, as an acknowledgement of 'thanks' from afar

I try that every time I watch blink. I doubt I'm the only one.

You're a straight man and you find Amy attractive. Do you think that perhaps you could just get over it now, and stop hijacking every single thread which mentions her with your tired fantasies? It's getting really, really old.

(Not to mention the fact that I'm pretty sure that some of you who have made similar lecherous comments are also the same ones who have complained about the presence of any sexuality or potential sexual/romantic references in nuWho, which seems just a tad hypocritical.)”

I personally suggest you get out more and enjoy the real world on occasion. It might make posts on an internet forum less offensive to you.

If you don't like it, tough. I'll say what I like and seeing as I'm not being offensive to anyone, you can lump it.

And I've never complained about any sexuality/romantic elements in Who, at any point in it's history. So perhaps you ought to not throw wild accusations of hypocricy around, because you might end up looking a little stupid.

Oh and just to add - I'd love to see her as the nurse, too.

Firstly, I never accused you specifically of complaining about sexuality elements in Who; re-read my post.

Secondly, how can you think you're not being offensive to anyone when you've just pointed out that I've taken offense? I'm pretty sure that means you've offended me, which you have.

Seriously, I'm the least prudish person around, and I'm all for free speech, but I am just so mind-numbingly bored of
(a) seeing posts about how attractive you find Amy
(b) seeing such posts under threads which have nothing to do with that

Feel free to start a thread all about how much you like her, what outfits you would or wouldn't like to see her in, and whatever else floats your boat. Myself and anybody else who shares my views can then cheerfully ignore that thread.

Oh will you all stop arguing for crying out loud? Your going to get this thread locked. Go and take your argument to General Discussion if you feel the need to carry it on.

Anyway, I also found the "Ooh Doctor, you sonicked her!" line funny
I really do like Amy. Also loved the whole bit in TBB when she realised they didn't have to kill the creature, and just threw caution to the wind by getting Liz Ten to smack that button.

My favourite so far is "You bit me with Space Teeth." That is like something the Tenth Doctor would say. She's absolutely hilarious and I like how The Doctor is the less witty one.

Also, she's extremely good looking,

lol, that was a good one, not many people would talk like that to old Winston. She's got guts.

I offended you because you don't want to hear that I find someone attractive? Seriously? Either you're exagerrating to the stupidest degree, or you get offended far too easily.

You're getting worked up over absolutely nothing. I've not said anything derogatory or unpleasent. I haven't been crass or explicit. It's hardly off-topic - being that the thread is about moments we love Amy. I simply stated a moment that I would like to see her in.

You can't just call anything you don't like offensive and demand other people stop talking about whatever you don't like.

As for other things I like about Amy (just so I don't waste a whole post asking someone to chill the hell out!) I loved the whole scene with the weeping angel coming out of the TV. Good mix of curiousity, fear, humour and smug satisfaction. Proves she's not a one trick pony.

And she looked hot in the scene, too.

There's a couple of little background or subtle moments that are just fabulous. Watch the end of VOTD where Amy and the Doctor are talking Braithwaite about deactivating him. There's a wide shot just as they get to 'do NOT go and find Dorabella' and Amy's eyes-closed headshake is just hilarious.

Better though is the whole 'Are you Mr Grumpy Face today' conversation from TOA. Watch Amy carefully after she pushes the Doctor about whether River is 'going to be his wife one day'. The instant he says yes her face changes to an 'ooops, didn't mean to push QUITE that hard' look which would be good enough but when he completes the sentence with 'you're right... I'm definitely Mr Grumpy Face today' the look she gives him is PERFECT for a companion. Love (not of the unrequited variety, don't panic) and affection and joy all wrapped up into one. It's barely a second or two on screen but it's bang on. It's also a moment that shows that maybe, just maybe, behind the tweed... the Doctor is rather enjoying having a companion that pushes him a bit too

Oh, one more that I don't think's been mentioned yet, Amy's reaction at seeing WW2-era London up close and personal is heart-breaking. It's only 60 years before her time, recognisable to her as London and a period that every British kid knows so very, very well from school and to be smacked in the face with it like that must be overwhelming. It's made all the better of course by the Doctor's whispered 'History'...
