BT Vision - won't let me have one!
Signed up on line for a BT box last Friday - got message today saying "However, we’re sorry, but due to technical limitations of your line, we can’t provide you with BT Vision. Our tests show you are unable to receive any free view channels therefor we are unable to proceed with your order.
We’ve therefore had to cancel your order" Hmm - been watching Freeview with my Hummy for 3 years now - no problems, and even have ESPN card on Ch 34. Broadband is rock solid at 5MB. It seems that the deal online is too good and this is BT's way of ratting on the deal. |

You need to go back to BT and challenge them on this knowing you have evidence to the contrary.

Check your line speed here to see what BT thinks your line can do :-
http://www.productsandservices.bt.co...ON-TOTAL-BB-R1 It's not always uptodate which is why you may be having an issue. |

Igram, Bt will give you a box even if you are not in a freeview area, but you have to fight for it, you have to phone them and make your case if you really, really want BT Vision.

Given the terrible service I have been getting from BT recently, I wouldn't bother!

They have changed their minds!
Thanks to all for the posts.
I rang BT as advised by forum members and their call centre could not have been more helpful. Of course I could have one (at my own risk) - delivery next week. So I can have fun with all the problems that other posters are highlighting. Will report back any issues for the benefit of others in the community. |

nice one. most of the new customers come on here saying they are either happy with the service or surprised at how good it is.
the customer base seems to be slowly increasing - even after adjustments for those who left the service. considering the number of bb customers bt has - it has not really managed to enough vision boxes into the homes. it will be interesting to see what impact bringing Sky Sports will have to BTV IMO. |
