Its of a curve ball, but what if Amy Pond is Romana, who also escaped the war by using the Chameleon Arch...R on the Wardens helmet?!?!?

It may be that River Song was taught how to fly a Tardis by Romana who got a Triple First at the Time Lord Academy (the best)

I know that there is the Amy as a child issue, but she could have been regenerated into a small child.

I know, I know, seeing faces in the fire etc...but it is fun trying to work it out. Somebody on here must have guessed right by now!

Even if that is true it doesn't explain her not knowing about the Daleks.

We went through all this with Donna is Romanna

But she would have lived through the events of stolen earth

Even in such reduced circumstances and when not in possession of her memory, Lady Romanadvoratrelunder would never wear skirts that short. She'd consider it terribly lower class.

She could have been sent to earth after the events of Stolen Earth...I know, loads of flaws!

Yes lots of flaws in what is a quite terrible idea I'm afraid.

Here's a quirky thought, but stick with it, imagine this: Steven Moffat, as a writer and as such someone who I would assume takes great delight in using their imagination, just maybe he created Amy Pond as a brand spanking new character all of his own with her own story and characteristics and tale to tell! Maybe he chose to do this and add something of his own to Who folklore rather than just recycling an old character whos return would bring virtually nothing to the story, except to please a few fanboys. I know, i know it's a crazy idea isn't it.

There's many a good reason why fanfic is so awful. One of the main ones is stuff like this.

Excellent thought. I'm glad all this nonsense of indidual characters is behind us we can begin more proper talk.

Individual characters indeed. Nonsense.

Everything has three layers of meaning! Nothing is there just to further the plot! The Illuminati are watching!

Exactly!

I've got an idea. In the series finale it will be revealed EVERY character is actually a different regeneration of the Doctor. That is most obvious. Every charactermust be related.

(P.S don't take offense maffmoose)

Surely any returning Romana should at least start with Mrs Dawkins?

Wait! Mr. Dawkins already appeared in an episode - perhaps Romana went Chameleon arch-y and married him, after going back in time - taking the persona of a television actress, and joining a popular 70s sci-fi series?

I didn't say she should return, only that if she did it should be as Lalla Ward(who still appears to have that portrait in her attic and looks at least 10 yrs younger than she is). No reason why she should have regenerated as unlike the Dr/Master she didn't go looking for trouble all the time.

I've said it before and I'll say it again..... Amelia travelled with The Doctor when she was a little girl... we saw her sitting on her case waiting for The Doctor to return and heard the TARDIS returning; we just weren't shown the rest of the adventure.

I'm positive she wasn't dreaming. There is more to her than meets the eye, and she has been away in the TARDIS before the events of TEH.

Positive..

how does that sit with:

1.she hasn't seen the inisde of the tardis
2. She says its been 12 yrs
3. she doesn't seem to know him that well
4. No one in Leadworth suggests she has been away

If anyone is Romana it's more likely to be River Song than Amy.

She was President of Gallifrey, and apparently she's been deposed by Rassilon. Bloody revolution? That would probably cause her to regenerate. Also, I think one of the books already had her do so.

Amy could turn out to be of Gallefreyan descent.
it would explain the missing parents and her sudden flashes of brilliance in situations lol.

But not romana though.

Its too George Lucas.
