As long as it doesn't involve an ancient prophecy, I'm happy.

Spot on. It makes no sense.

Plus 5. the Doctor refers to her as "the girl that waited 14 years"

I could never understand those theories. They seemed to totally ignore the fact that we already knew who Davros was and where he came from.

Early days - nobody knew how closely they were going to stick to established events.

We also knew who the Daleks were and where they came from, then they made them created out of human cells. We knew who the Cybermen were and where they came from, and they ended up being from a parallel universe.

I think there was some justification for speculation!

They didn't change who the Daleks "were" just suggested they were using humans to make new ones. Something they have done before, incidentally. They also pointed out that they'd hate themselves because they would know they weren't pure. Poor Daleks

But the 'human' Daleks were clearly stated as being a new lot after the originals were wiped out, and we were told that our universe had had Cybermen in the same episode in which the new ones debuted (one had even been seen, in 'Dalek'). The Davros theory would have directly contradicted established continuity, and it was obvious from the start that they weren't going to do that.

I'm positive she wasn't dreaming. There is more to her than meets the eye, and she has been away in the TARDIS before the events of TEH.

Positive..

I'm assuming this post is a joke?

And both those things happened after the Adam episodes. My point is that, especially in the early days when the past references were minimal, there was always the possibility that they were going to create a new continuity. There was always a way of rebooting characters and creatures, without needing to eradicate the previous history.

She travelled with him as an adult before he visited her for the second time as a little girl.

Leadworth is all wrong and there is something about Pond. The second visit to Amelia sitting patiently on the case is to put right or after having put right, all the faults caused by the Crack.

Actually, fwiw, I think so, too. Too many things around Amy seem wrong after that moment when she's been sitting/waiting on her suitcase for the Doctor. It's some alternative timeline/bubble thingy that will be sorted in the end of course and time goes back to "normal" ...

I am just wondering what this will mean for the Doctor - River backstory unfolding ....
