Can anyone point me to a link of sample photos? I've heard good things about the camera due to the big sensor.

Nokia doesnt have a very good history with smartphone firmware releases so may give it a few months after release. As for looks i dont care iam not planning on having sex with it

The famous man from Mobile Review .... using stolen proto with old software.
Pics looks good quality. Eldar has lost a huge amount of credibility with that "review". Couple of mild surprises - no user replaceable battery, and "only" a 680mHz processor. Definitely liking the look of it, could be good. USB OTG support will be incredibly handy. |

A truely hideous looking phone
Also only two OS i'd consider are Android, iPhone in that order |

Did anyone else immediately think of cover flow when he was going through the album covers? Also notice how sluggish the OS is, you would think they would be able to make a fast and snappy operating system by now.

This phone is certainly getting pretty good pre-release preview right ups. Nothing but positives as per below:
http://mynokiablog.com/2010/04/29/8-...-the-nokia-n8/ Also of note news that the N8 will be released in June on 02. http://www.worldofnokia.co.uk/2010/0...o2-uk-in-june/ As for Eldar, he stands by his 'review' but he truly has embarrased himself. |

Looks good, and the hardware will no doubt be solid from Nokia.
However, my guess will be flakey software, as per usual. Got bitten with the N97 so not going back for a while. Also, processor and RAM lesser than rivals (SE xperia, Samsing i9000 Galaxy, HTC Desire to name but a few). I shall be changing phones in the summer, but it will be for Android OS, that I am certian on!! |

Imagegrill is right.
Its always the software that tends to let the newer smartphones from Nokia down. I love my Nokia 5800 but all the problems I have are Symbians. My upgrade is due in October (But I can upgrade from now) and my plan is to wait for the Nokia N8. I saw an image that says 02 may have a release date for the first week of June but I have heard that the release has been pushed back to the end of July/August. |

From a few forum comments I've read by Symbian developers, it does sound like the N8 could well be one of the most stable Nokia Symbian releases for quite some time. Although my 5230 has been my most stable phone by far - and thats only just been updated from its release firmware. |

Hands-on review of the N8 and pics. Only a prototype! Things could still change.

Play.com has N8 on their website. End of August is looking likely for release who have the N8 up for pre-order from 31st August which is only 4 weeks away. If not then, it could be 1st week of September. Their N8 is the one in black.

So this is maybe why Apple pulled that lost phone stunt. Keep us interested especially with stuff like that N8 around the corner.
BTW can these phones sync with iTunes or do you have to drag and drop everything in your collection, plus convert it back to MP3. |

http://www.play.com/Mobiles/Mobile/4...k/Product.html I need to replace my E51, so am really thinking of going with the N8. For me it's between the N8 or the HTC Desire HD/Ace. |

August 25th, really?
EDIT: Come to think of it, the "other country" may be Germany, can't be sure though Quote:
In that case i'm surprised the N8 isn't already up for pre-order on the Nokia UK website with a price tag. Personally i don't think it will be that date.

N9 is scheduled for early 2011 apparently. Could be delayed, especially seeing as the N8 was originally set for April.

If you're talking about the keyboard, 4" screen "variant" of the N8 thats been announced, its probably not going to be an N-series model.
