Having just watch The Curse/Monster Of Peladon recently, I thought how great it would be if the The Doctor revisited Peladon(again) and see how things have moved on since his last visit. Maybe it would be a great way to bring back the Ice Warriors or even Alpha Centauri.

So if you were Executive Producer of Doctor Who now and you fancied just one big dip into the past, which planet(or place even to broaden the scope a little) would you like to see The Doctor pop back again for another visit?

(By the way, just started this thread because I wanted to see one that wasn't about River Song for a change and I wanted to do see a totally untopical thread just to buck the trend for a while!)

I also like Earth, but would prefer stories set in the past or future, rather than modern times.

Though I'd guess really the whole thing should be time-locked...

Sontar needs visiting, but that isn't a revisit.

Exploring the Sontaran/Rutan conflict by visiting both planets would be cool. And the Rutans would look excellent, as opposed to last time we saw them...

The best option for my money, although another non-revisit, would be Mondas!

Wasn't it just Gallifrey that was Time Locked (excuse my ignorance, my knowledge on Time Locking etc is sketchy ). Skaro was rumoured to be destroyed but never fully confirmed, I think.

I think it would be possible to go that bit further back than Tom Baker did.

Additional planets I wouldnt mind seeing include Exxilon (now that story had jarring incidental music! oops wrong thread ) and Inter Minor from the Third Doctors era and Argolis from the Fourth Doctor

Surely, Skaro was destroyed by the Seventh Doctor in Rememberance Of The Daleks? Their home base during the Time War had to be an alternative planet (perhaps renamed Skaro).

But if 'War of the Daleks' is anything to go by, Antalin was destroyed instead. Skaro remained.

I'd like him to visit the parallel Earth so we can see Rose again.

And the Virgin New Adventure 'Legacy'. I'd still like to see Peladon on screen again, though.

Haven't read that novel, but jhave ust googled it and read the synopsis. As I'm one of that strange breed of fans who believe that the novels are canon, I'll accept that it was Antalin and not Skaro that the Seventh Doctor destoyed. Thanks for pointing me in that direction.

There are always a thousand ways they can explain their way out of anything that wasn't seen on screen, and a hundred even if it was.

Of course, the computer games supposedly partly take place on Skaro, so whether it's the original Skaro retconned, the original Skaro conveniently ignored, the original Skaro chronologically before it got destroyed, or New Skaro, we'll have an answer.

One place I also thought of was the planet of The Savages from Hartnell's Time. I believe I read somewhere that Peter Purves would love to come back as Steven, though now as a sort of tyrannical ruler who has let power go to his head and The Doctor would have to come back and sort him out!

Now I'm not sure if that's exactly what Purves said but even if he didn't, it's a cracking good idea anyway!
