I think she will be in the sing off. don't want her to be, i hope i'm wrong.

I'm not sure if she was the third least popular. I think she probably wasn't, and it was just a shock tactic.

but who knows.

I suspect that Danielle had top votes last week as well, but the producers didn't want her fans to get complacent. I could be wrong, though, because this show has been so unpredictable I don't think anyone can accurate predict who's in the lead right now.

I still think, though, that if Danielle turns in a great performance on Saturday, she will probably be safe.

I think the on the night factors are crucial for every girl now:

performance
song choice
comments
VTs

Danielle was in the bottom two for a reason - cheesy and boring song, her worst performance vocally, VTs esp other candidates gaining sympathy votes for various reasons, and people assuming that she was safe.

Don't buy the whole perceived personality factor, think she was just less noticed in the comp then other more OTT people. But different personalities have been in bottom two - steph, lauren. It was the on the night factors that were crucial.

No girl is safe and like John P says they all need to keep upping their game -it's a tight comp now with some amazing talent.

I don't think that just because it has always been two different people that it still will be. Think that is just coincidence like when everyone was saying it was going out alphabetically. Danielle, Steph and Lauren are not safe and this is wide open IMO.

Just to say henman, I liked and rated Danielle very highly early on in the competition, and especially after her performance of Red. This was way before Sheila's views were known to me - just wanted to clarify, defo not bandwagon for me.

^Me either. I picked up on her acting before I ever knew what Sheila thought.

Don't think I get the bandwagon point. I think I made the original post that henman is referring to when I put down a number of points as "evidence" for what I saw as Danielle's acting skills. Sheila Hancock's endorsement was only one of these points.
Bit insulting to think that we can't make up our own minds & are waiting to be told what to think by the experts. Whilst we would be arrogant not to listen to what people say who have been in the business probably longer than some of us have been alive, I am sure most of us are still capable of having an independent & even, dare I say, contrary view.

Fair enough. Obviously a lot of people rate Danielle very highly and that's great. I genuinely don't see it - I rate her in the middle of those left, but it is clear that the panel rate her more highly as well.

I also accept that people can make up their own minds and are not necessarily influenced by what Sheila (in particular) says, although I think some probably are. I accept this may not be you - your name suggests you've ben a fan from the start!

Did not mean to insult anyone - apologies. I accept people can make up their own minds but I do think that Sheila's constant references ro Danielle's acting abilities are intended to (and do) influence people - not all, but some.

And just to be clear getting back to the theme of this thread, I do not expect Danielle to be in the bottom 2 this week, and even if she is I think she would be saved against most of the others.

No worries - my point was more a general one. I guess all the judges comments about all candidates are designed to influence people. I guess I would just hope that Joe Public would hear them, either see or for themselves or not, & then make up their own minds. Perhaps I am naive.

& to also to get back to the point of the thread. I agree it is unlikley that Danielle is in the bottom 2 (if she is, although ALW will most likely save her, it will bode very badly for her general popularity as surely the last 2 weeks will have galvanised her fans).

My vote is still Sophie and poor Jenny

It might make ALW squirm but I am more concerned that it would be rather wicked to Lauren and Danielle Neither deserve to be bottom two at this stage. There are other Dorothies still there who are not in their league.

I don't think there is anyone left who 'deserves' to go. I think there are 7 girls left all quite capable of playing Dorothy.

I agree, it would be a nightmare situation, as would having any of Stephanie, Lauren or Danielle together in the bottom 2. They are clearly the 3 who have pushed forward at this stage and the top ones that the panel keep referring to. I really hope this doesn't happen

Yes, I agree.

Nightmare situation for Andrew:

Lauren vs Danielle or Danielle vs Stephanie

Most interesting choice for Andrew:

Jessica vs Sophie - who would he save?? I don't know

I think between the two he'd save Jessica unless she really messed up the vocal in the sing off.

I think if you replace 'unless' with 'even if' you'd have this right. He would definitely save Jessica, she is clearly one of his favourites...

I agree with what you've said here about Sophie and Jenny. Being Welsh myself, I really wanted Sophie to be my favourite but, well, she's not (Stephanie is). I thought Sophie was fantastic in the first studio week (when they went down from 20 to 10/11), but hasn't shone for me since.

The panel seemed to like Jenny at first but now they really do seem to put her down. I still don't understand what John Partridge meant when he told her she was faking it.

This. They have till March, and I'm sure any of them would be excellent.

I'm gonna guess Jenny and Jessica. I think Sophie'll be safe, since people will know they need to vote for her, as will Danielle, for the same reason.

Is anyone else feeling really nervous for tonight?! I pray we get a spoiler, as I don't think I'll be able to hold out until tomorrow evening!

Does anyone think Danielle's bit of boot licking on last weeks results show will influence how much support she gets this week.

I think I know someone who might be going, I'll have to check since I'm not sure if they are but if they do, I'll make sure to tell if I manage to find out from them who leaves!

My guess is Jessica/ Sophie /Jenny with Jessica going home, to me she has never looked a Dorothy.

Elder7uk seems to have taken a bit of a personal dislike to Danielle for some reason.
