If you're basing this on what was said in TEH hour, it was Gloucester that was the nearest city, not Glasgow.

What Flatmate?

And we haven't seen Amy's Aunt yet.

Maybe you're thinking of Jeff and his Grandmother?

The thing is when The Doctor was questioning the Atraxi on the roof of the hospital he made them look through Earth records concerning other alien invaders. The visual record showed the events of the battle of Canary Warf, The Empress of The Racnoss, The Sycorax and a Reaper from Fathers Day plus all 10 previous Doctors.

So I would suggest that this is the correct timeline. But something is wrong.

The Sontaran that was shown was a classic series Sontaran not a new series one. Also the Ood and The Hath were shown and they are from Earth’s future not the present.

There is an image of something between The Empress of The Racnoss & The Ood. Could that be something important?

Perhaps someone who watched it in HD could tell what this image is.

When the crack is open the atraxi send the doctor a mesage to the Physic paper

The doctor says something like

Quote:
“"No. I think that was prisoner zero's guard. Whatever it was it sent me a message. Physic paper

Tis a lovely little message

Prisoner Zero has escaped."”

It could be possible that the message on the paper was different to Prisoner Zero has escaped and he only said that as he was repeating what the voice said.

It won't be!!! But just thought I would post it on the off chance that if it is I can say I told you so

Could it be the fact that Amelia and Amy are two different people hence the different names?

No, she just shortened it...

She said she shortened it, might not be as simple as that, maybe its the auntie not being there and Amelia being alone in the house?

What has her aunt not being there got to do with her shortening her name?

I dont know Im just throwing up suggestions that it could be to do with the name or maybe the Aunt missing

I wonder if it is related to Amy's apparent lack of family. When asked about her parents, she replies "I don't have a mum or dad", rather than they are dead. Was that meant literally.

Then we have the apple - who draw the face, Amy's mum or Amy because her mum used to draw it (not so clear now we know time is being rewritten).

And where is the Aunt - the Doctor arrives at 8:30, is eating fish custard at 9:30, and Amelia is waiting for the TARDIS at 11:30. This seems extremely late for her Aunt to be "out" leaving a 7 year old alone.

The Aunt is also noticeable by her absence later in the episode. Prisoner Zero also never mentions the Aunt (although presumedly has been living in the same house for 12 years) nor does Prisoner Zero attempt to use the Aunt has a template (although presumedly could have built one up as with Amy). The lack of reaction from Amy suggests that her Aunt isn't one of the coma patients.

Also, given that fish custard takes place 14 years before June 2010, it must have taken place in 1996, however the London that the TARDIS is flying over very clearly has the millenium dome and london eye neither of which would have been built in 1996. Of course the TARDIS could have time shifted before it crashed (although this isn't the implication). It could just be an oversight but it seems an odd one given it wouldn't have been that difficult to have done a London flyover avoiding such prominent anachronistic (for 1996) landmarks.

Yes it is possible that Amy's parents were eaten by the crack.

As to the London landmarks, we do hear the TARDIS "brakes" as Amy is praying to Santa which does imply the TARDIS dematerialised and then materialised before crashing into Amy's garden rather than just falling from the sky so there could have been time travel involved.

i think your right with this one

Spoiler
as many people think that there are two versions of the doctor travelling around. if you rewatch FaS when the amy thinks the doctor has left and he holds her hands, he is wearing his jacket (even though the angel is holding it at this point. he says to amy remember what i told you when you were 7.

many people think this is a different version of the doctor

I think you could be right.

Maybe he realises how much he's screwed her up and needs to go back in time to fix it..

In the shot at about 17 minutes 52 seconds into Flesh and Stone the Doctor is wearing a coat, minutes after losing it to the angels. Now this may be an error, but it's a noticeable one, (unlike the ID card or alarm clock, which you need screencaps to notice, so I think those 2 don't matter). I think that the coat wasn't an error and it's a later in the series version of the Doctor who gave the 'you need to trust me' speech, which suggests the Doctor is visiting Amy in the past, therefore adding to the idea he goes back to her sitting on the case as well.

Or they've got really bad continuity.

Hi all, new to posting but have been an avid reader for a while so bear with me

don't know if this has been said before and probably some bits of it need to be on another thread but I have had some thoughts after reading many speculations (probably all wrong though LOL)

When the TARDIS just misses Big Ben when crashing Big Ben states 9.15 however when the doctor is in Amelia's kitchen it is 8.30 so clearly he has gone backwards for a bit.

Is it just me or does the opening shot of the outside of the hospital where the coma patients are look like the one that was in CAL's world in SITL?

Also in F&S the doctor states 'time can be re written'. In FOTD when River was plugging herself in to self destruct the 10th Doctor said 'time can be re written' and she said something like 'not those times don't you dare' could this be relavant?

Is there any significance to the Atraxi scanning such a small village so early in their search - I mean the time the Sonic screwdriver is blown up. Surely they would still be scanning Earth's major cities by then, not getting round to a little village in the middle of nowhere.

They have to illustrate that the Atraxi are actually looking at the screwdriver - just having the Doctor say they are, and then assume they aren't when the driver blows up, isn't quite enough.

If Amy is getting married in June 2010, the defeat of Prisioner Zero had to be in 2008 and the Doctor's first meeting with Amelia would be 1996.

It's been twelve years, and Amy is a grown woman. No guarantee that Aunt Sharon is still alive or around.

I thought Amy mentioned her Aunt as someone who disapproved of her kissogram job, which implies that the Aunt had at least still been alive when Amy reached adulthood. But it is very mysterious that she has not been seen at all and we don't know if she was still living in the house when the Doctor came back. Presumably Amy wasn't expecting to find her Aunt at home for the final scene of F&S!

Lots of mentions on these forums regarding this coat. The reason I believe it is very clearly intentional is the fact that they made such a point of him losing the jacket in the first place. A relatively unnecessary element in itself but crucial if there is a need to hint at some relevance to this particular scene later on.
