As the election looms, I can't bring myself to vote for either Labour or Tory, as they both want to freeze my pay next year; The Lib Dems' economic policies are ten times as stringent; UKIP want to get rid fo 2 million public sector jobs; the BNP would be a no-no even if they were on the ballot paper and they Green Party are a joke. If there’s an independent then I’ll vote for them, otherwise there's only one option. Vote Harry!

What to do on May 6th:

1. Create a separate box on the voting slip with Harry Saxon's name in it.
2. Tick the box.
3. Take a photo and upload it to the Facebook group below.
4. There is no Number 4.

NB. You don't have to click on the link or join the group, this is just a bit of fun.

Nick Clegg seems to have suddenly appeared from nowhere. I keep expecting to see a Lib dem broadcast with him saying

"This country is sick, this country needs medicine. In fact, what this country needs, right now, is a Doctor"

And then give a lovely insincere politicians grin

If I refuse to entertain the notion of voting for Harold Saxon under any circumstances, does that make me a bigot ?

Oh yes.

Ironically Kay Burley asked Lord Mandy, yesterday, whether he thought the PM was looking tired!

I've heard that somewhere before, haven't I?

Is there something you're trying to tell us about Ms Burley ?

I am not sure it's really terribly wise to vote for Harold Saxon. Regardless of anything else, he was endorsed by Ann Widdecombe ...

(Though she is a sport, and was happy to autograph the DVD sleeve for me)

If you want something that's done a good job of halting immigration, I'd suggest voting for Eyjafjallajokull.

If none of the candidates appeal to you, why not just stay at home on polling day? It seems a bit pointless to go all the way to the polling station to cast a vote which will only be discounted as "spoiled".

Only good thing Widdecombe has done, that.

But seriously: since the spoilt ballot papers last time round almost guaranteed the BNP would acquire seats on several Councils, this might not be the most intelligent thing to do when there's a hung parliament in the offing

I second that emotion.

Spoiling your ballot paper is better than not bothering to go.

BNP or Saxon? Now that is a tough one, Saxon needs a newsnight special.

As a joke this may be fun..and if Saxon was real, I probably would vote..but I do hope that people don't seriously go and spoil their vote....because then whoever we do get we deserve!!

Even voting Saxon would be better than staying at home because then the parties know there are people who can be bothered to vote but disapprove of all of them. It means they have to work to win them over ( also, old Harolds speech was probably better than the real ones, and his sparkly eyes are rather appealing!)

The oldest photo of him is only 18 months old, nothing prior to that is genuine.

I should do this as no matter who I vote in my constituency, Labour are going to get in anyways. 16,000 majority they had last time, and seriously, the old saying is true. They could put a monkey up here for Labour and it'd still be voted in :/
