Morning

Just catching up and do agree that Rhydian sang exceptionally beautifully in Brecon. In fact his rehearsal of David of the White Rock I found more touching than the live performance.

We were queueing outside and could clearly hear him. Lots of eyes filled up, awwww. He even got applause from the TV crew for that one!

The best bit for me was at the end of YRMU on the show when he got an ovation that went on......and on.......and on.......and on. He accpepted it with a small smile and a little bow and then looked all bashful.
The hall was packed and I am sure contained lots of people who had known him at one time or another as he went to school in Brecon and they were literally roaring their approval. In the end he had to run off the stage to put an end to it. Really nice moment it was.

Rhydsflower, I know you love him dearly but Diamond is right about the songs Khashoggi sings and the part he plays. It is a principal role but he sings one song alone and one duet but does appear during BR. I haven't looked at the vids yet Degsey, I'll have to come back when I've got more time. Thanks for finding them, look forward to it

That really was a special moment Rattie....I thought it was never going to stop!

I was at the performances at both the NSPCC do and Brecon and they were both brilliant for totally different reasons....that's the versatility of Rhydian....he's a special guy!

Great news about We Will Rock You....the part looks made for him!

Rattie, that's what I was saying all along, the only difference is that Diamond didn't except /anyway she never does and I don't really care/ my comment that Khashoggi must sing something at BB if his name appears along the Galileo, Scaramouch and Killer Queen on the official video DVD of the the WWRY. And Khashoggi does sing a line at BB, Daimond just needs to go to the official page of WWRY and check it before she starts to put down the others who have got some knowledge of the music as well.
Yes, I do stand by Rhydian, but not because I love him, but because of his undeniable, fantastic talent.

uhm.care to show me where I didn't acknowledge that Khashoggie has one line in BoRhap .. if you read my response to your post I ackenowledge that he sings the one line and that is why he is credited on the show media merchandise ... I think you've failed to understand my point that that if we're talking about the songs in the show where Khashoggi has any significant vocal contribution then there are just the two I mentioned .. he's on stage during other numbers but is either just speaking dialogue or there is that one line in BoRhap (which isn't what you could classify as a Khashoggi song . it's Galileo and Scaramouche's song mainly)

I don't have to look at the credits on the DVD or the album as I've already said I've seen the actual show 3 times . the first time when it very first came to the West End back in 2002. I'm a big Tony Vincent fan (who originated the lead role in the musical) so I'm very aware of the musical, it's not just something I've shown a sudden interest in due to Rhydian's involvement.

as for this " diamond didn't except /anyway she never does" .. I presume you mean "accept" ...like I said above I acknowleded that Khashoggi sang one line .. as for never accepting anything .. I am perfectly happy for people to have their own opinions and I accept their opinions but at the same time I have a right to disagree with them just like you have too ............. there are some things that I don't accept and that's when people post stuff as fact when it's not actual fact and that's when I disagree.

It's obvious that we don't see eye to eye on most things .. i guess it isn't helped by the fact that I've never been that besotted by an artist that I lose all grip on reality where they're concerned.

Hopefully not many fans have lost their grip on reality Karen. I've always thought this thread shows there is a lot of discerning opinion where Rhydian is concerned. I remember a lot of ranting when the last album title was revealed to be 'Our Homeland' and many, many times there has been interesting debate and discussion

We are all keen supporters of Rhydian on here, many of us have been here for nearly threee years and still enjoy the man's voice. He hasn't had the most predictable road but for me I suppose I love the fact he can be contraversial and interesting.

Our Homeland That really conjured images of sheep and wooly jumpers
Looking at what he does now, which seems to be musical theatre, maybe we will see a MT album in the future?

My video has over 700 views now

Hiya Grim.

Still supporting the mighty Rhydler, but I've not much to say at the mo. So until I've something to say, I'll continue to scoff Degsey's Maltesers in the corner of the RAT House.

I did laugh at that interview SC, thanks for posting the link. He's a great interviewee, always an entertaining read.

Miko on RR found he is also being used as a model on the Savile Row tailor, Richard Anderson's website.

If I'm not mistaken, the black sequinned suit is the one he wore to the Classical Brit awards and it looked stunning with his cream waistcoat. Posh Rhyd

Hey Grim, not so bad now the weather isn't quite as hot thanks

I remember we have often over the last two years encouraged you to put up a video of your singing and you finally did Lovely to see you have had lots of hits and everyone has been impressed with your vocals. Sadly I can't sing a note so you're very lucky, I'm always envious of people who can sing well

Before now no one has shot a video of me singing
I dont think I can sing as well as some people on XF as I had no lessons I've been trying out different keys etc to see how I sound singing "Somewhere", as Simon Cowell will tell anyone, its not an easy song.

*Pops out of corner of RAT House with empty bag of scoffed Maltesers*

Like the reply to this question:-

"Do you have a grooming ritual in the morning?"

I can just imagine this response in a mock Amercian accent.

[In American accent] "Well once I've waxed and put on my fake tan and mascara...

"No I don't."

Thanks for posting that interview, Sweet C.

Nice to see Rhyd doing a spot of 'modelling' on this link that Rattie provided.
