It seemed strange seeing the Rhyd quiff again, looking back quite tame compared to Jedward”

Be funny if Rhydian was to appear on a TV programme with his quiff alongside Jedward - it'd be like the uncle with his nephews!

Hi all -

I've just been checking out that hairstyle again (strange fascination keeps taking me back to the Conehead site) - it's very different. I hope his new album pleases his fans, on his tour the audience were aged between 17 and 70 (roughly). Let's hope they all get new wave 80's style. For me, it's his voice that I love and am willing to hear any style. Surely it can't be that long now for a release, especially as it's finished. I've played his last two albums again - some tracks I love, some I like and some I'm not too keen on. That's to do with the song and not his voice.

I'm feeling excited again, the same feeling I had just before the release of his first album. You must all be excited too.

I'm always talking about him and I've told everyone about his new style, imminent album everything.

Take care.

That's one of the classic X Factor performances that one. Rhydian gave a superb performance.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GRIM!

I think as well as the songs, the production will be important. I felt the kitchen-sink production of the first album spoilt some of the songs. Take 'Bridge Over Troubled Water' - I liked how it was when Rhyd performed it on X Factor, but on the album it disappointed me. I felt that they should have kept that one simple and just let Rhyd's voice do the work.

I guess we'll get bombarded with info on the new album all in one go. It'll be like buses - you wait ages for one, and then they all come at once!

They've cancelled tonight's performance of 'We Will Rock You'. Here's two tweets from Rhydian from this evening:-

sat in my dressing room no power in theatre! Show delayed poor audience are sat in complete darkness too. Oh joy...

The following tweet from Rhydian says this:-

show cancelled tonight! So sorry audience

How disappointing for the audience. When Rhydian was in 'War of the Worlds' and I was due to see him in Sheffield there was bad weather at the time. A lot of events/shows up and down the country where being cancelled because of the snow. So it was touch and go as to whether I'd get to see him perform in that role (plus see my friends who I was going to the show with).

Thankfully I did get to see Rhyd perform in 'War of the Worlds' so I can appreciate the disappointment of those tonight who bought tickets, looked forward to this for weeks (maybe months), travelled and who may have arranged hotel accommodation.

I agree with over production spoiling some of the songs a bit IMO - take "Somewhere", "Bridge over Troubled Water" and some of the songs on Album 2 were spoilt slightly by bloody choirs (Mwfanwy, Annie's Song)

Yeah - the bloody choirs! Well said Grim. That was overkill with the choirs. Don't think they'll be choirs on this one. Well I hope St Winifred's School Choir don't make an appearance! Thankfully they're not new wave/new romantic so we may just escape those munchkins - phew!

Hi grim

I've been a busy RAT but still loving The Man.

Got caught up in American Idol. It was a great series and I think Scotty has an amazing voice and he's only a baby

Hope you've all been behaving yourself

Hello

I found some clips of Rhydian at the "Music for Autism" event which I hadnt seen before - he's just fab!

I always used to say he should sing Love Changes Everything and this is a great performance with just a piano:

And an emotional performance of Bring Him Home:

Hello everyone

Rhyd has finished his Southampton run of WWRY and apparently has been in Monaco today watching the F1 Grand Prix

Fingers crossed for news of Rhyd's new album but in the meantime a Christmas Concert on December 10th in Bath has been announced.

I can't make this one but It sounds like a fun evening.
