Yay Dolph - see you for 'Grease'.
There's a promo on TalkSport at the moment for the Rugby World Cup which says:-
"Tom Jones, Richard Burton and Rhydian off 'The X Factor'. There are many reasons to celebrate Wales. ...."
The above is just part of the promo dialogue and I'm pleased that Rhydian hasn't been forgotten about. There will be some people who wish Rhyd could lose 'The X Factor' tag but that's where we first became aware of him as a singer/performer. The X Factor is a platform for any singer to show the public what they've got and the thing is there's no guarantee that they will succeed after the series has finished. On the night of that Final in 2007, I felt a slight panic - what if we don't hear from Rhydian again.

It didn't bear thinking about for me as I thought he had the potential to be a star.
Thankfully as we know he's had the chance to record an album with Syco (well 2 actually

) and then onto a 3rd with an Independent label. Plus performing in front of Andrew Lloyd Webber, performing at the Royal Albert Hall, singing at the opening for events like the rugby this year and more. Then there's the Musical Theatre roles he's had - 'War of the Worlds'/'We Will Rock You' and soon we've the opportunity to see him in 'Grease'.
Anyway, I'm babbling on, but the point I'm trying to make is that I'm thankful that Rhyd got his platform via The X Factor and grabbed it with both hands.
