Just thought I would share my latest video with you all, The Master Through the Ages. It acts as a comprehensive guide to all the Master's DW appearances (be warned though -- it is a little fast paced as I had to fit it into 10 minutes )

Enjoy

that was good, im only slowly catching up with the old doctor who episodes so its good to know which ones the master is in

ive got one question though, i remember watching an episode when i was younger where the master had a chair that ate people, could you tell me which one that was, or even if that was the master as it was about 16 years ago i saw that one

Terror of the Autons, the Master's first ever appearance. It isnt on DVD yet, but I want it to be!

There's also a bit where a phone cord tires to strangle the Doctor. Great stuff!

Mightybutton - the story with the man-eating sofa is "Terror of the Autons".
It also features killer daffodils and the emponymous Autons in scary clown-suits. A classic if ever there was one - plus its the Masters' debut.

(Although I should mention I've not seen it since I was about 8 years old, so it may be shite)

I still love to believe that The Master debuted in War Games...as it makes so much sense when you think about it

, I know he is evil blah blah and is horrid to the poor dr but as a charcter he works , okay the rani was fun but she didnt have his xfactor , dont condone violence or horrid things happening to old people but he was acted quite well especially by John simm and Derek Jacobi , okay the rest of them hammed it up but he was scary more than the daleks , this is just my view , you dont have to agree but

Roger delagdo-class, great bond villian-73-77
the ugly ones that names I cant remember- 77-81-horrid , nasty things but were scary !

Antony Ainley-camp as xmas but not a good villain as could be -81 to 89!

Eric roberts-96-one off again a rubbish version in my view

Derek Jacobi-2007-brill actually but didnt last long

John simm-2007-2010-The best master ever and the funniest

The next one -possible actors

Eddie Izzard , Richard Armitage and Adrian turner (being human) make great masters against Matt ax

It's actually quite good, with a nice turn from Michael Wisher (aka Davros) as the Master's patsy.

The only things to criticise are the plastic doll/troll, a poorly executed man-in-a-suit not-so-special effect, but that was the era, not the show, and the fact that the script called for an otherwise very well portrayed Master to be too quickly and easily persuaded to put things right again. Easy to forget, though, it was essentially a children's show in those days...

The two "pizza-face" Masters were Peter Pratt in The Deadly Assassin and Geoffrey Beevers in The Keeper Of Traken

Would have loved to have seen more of Derek Jacobi, he was excellent. That said, John Simm was just pure brilliance, loved him!

What does 'ax' mean?

As a child I was put off plastic inflatable furniture for years because of the Master and the Terror of the Autons.

Roger Delgado has a lot to answer for

Stop shoving it everywhere then. And you don't need to write in the title box.

No, the War Chief was far too competent to have been the Master. Besides, he was resurrected in one of the New Adventures books (and killed again).

I thought the War Chief was reincarnated as Mr Meaker in Rentaghost

I loved that show (before it got too silly, with the witch and the horse).

It's a shame to think that most of the original actors could now apply for a job with the firm

It's not that fast-paced; it has quite good coverage of all the Master stories. Really good video!

And it has Nyssa
