I wonder if this will have a positive effect on TalkTalk TV's prices? TT appears to be excluded from this deal so could be out on a limb.

TalkTalk already have a deal with Sky for Sky Sports 1 and 2 at £29.00 per month.

Sky charge their customers £18 extra per month for this!
The Guardian has more details:
http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2010...s-bt-top-up-tv
BT are aiming for £15 per month and Topup TV at £20 per month with the difference with existing wholesale price put in a fund depending on the outcome of the appeal. If BT customers take it up in a big way and Sky win their appeal BT could lose a lot of money!

VM have not said what they might do with costs, but looks like TalkTalk TV could still join the scheme and reduce prices over the summer to match BT if they want or wait till the final appeal!

Just read in the Times the discount deal is only for VM, Topup and BT, perhaps TalkTalk TV did not ask for it?

The Times says "Sports packages on Sky start from £26 a month" whereas the Sky website now says £18 per month and has a deal with just Sky sports one for even less! maybe the lower prices are just offers for new Sky customers to counter act BT?
