All explained in the title really .

I liked the idea of the Krillitanes taking DNA and traits from the races they defeat.

I also liked another idea but i can't think of it at the moment.

I'd say it was a fantastic idea....the mosnter that represents fandom...what made it less than fantastic for me was Peter Kay.

Portrayed by Peter Kay. Designed by a kid. Need I say more?

The Lazarus monster had the potential to be great but the poor CGI and just what happened in the episode did it for me

True. and sound as a weakness? I am the first to say i hate cliches. That was pants.

But i liked the idea of a weird monster being in humans DNA. Mysterious.

The Sentient Sun in 42 deserved more than just a one-off filler episode. It was worthy of a two-parter, although done in the style it was, it wouldn't have worked in Series 3 as comparissons would be too heavily drawn to The Impossible Planet/Satan Pit story of Series 2. It would be great to see how its mind worked and how it had affected other worlds.

The Clockwork Robots from TGitF were scarier without a voice

Haven't been reading doctor who forums before this week*, didn't realise this wasn't a well received episode. I really liked it. I'm ambivalent about Kay - Pheonix Nights was pretty terrific (wasn't it?) but his standup gets old very quickly.

I thought it was pretty good (haven't seen it since original broadcast though). I'm not advocating they do too much of this out and out comedy/panto, but every once in a while is ok. Anyway, I liked the love story and thought those actors were good and the final scene with that pair made me laugh. So that's it really, I liked the love story. Tinged, as it was, with tragedy and all.

And getting back on topic - the basic idea of an absorbing thingy is pretty good. It's a genuinely scary thing isn't it? All those faces? I think the little kid who thought it up did well with that. And it could have been done differently in a more serious episode, so keep your coat on the hook Solid60.
