If you don't like it, ignore it! People (like me) enjoy posting in it, it's not doing any harm, just ignore it if you dislike it so much!

Just to echo Cakeymoo, if you don't like it, don't look at it. There's plenty of threads on here I have no interest in 'The Bill Spoilers' one for example, they certainly don't annoy me, I just ignore them and let the people who enjoy them happily post away.

Nothing, but as I've never forgiven them for killing off John Boulton (I *heart* him) I no longer watch in protest

lol It is incredible how long it's been going, but I enjoy posting on it. And this storyline is still ongoing so they can't close it down. enyafreak you must have a really empty life if something like a Thread consistently appearing in the menu page annoys you. You need to go out more. Ignore it, don't post on it, pretend it's not there, turn off your PC!

But why? Its a ongoing storyline, and its an ongoing and very interesting thread, some of the argument, ideas and personal experiences put forward on it has been incredibly interesting to read. It's also a very friendly little sub-forum and is causing no harm to anyone whatsoever.

It's a discussion board, it's here for people to discuss. You're saying that people should be punished for using it for what it's here for? That's a rather silly rule. Now shut up and go back under your rock.

well unless Chris Finch comes back - you've only got about 6 more months of discussion until the related storylines will come to an end

I think the Todd thread is a great idea, I have been reading the posts from day 1 but haven't joined in as I don't feel the posters want someone else. But I don't see why it could possibly annoy you?

lol the fact it has been going for ages & has lots of posts shows how popular it STILL is so why would it want to be removed? Ahh, I see, because you dont like it! Its not as if everytime you come on the forums you automatically see the posts - you have to click to read it! (there's nothing like stating the obvious but nevermind..)

I think its odd that it bothers you so much that you started another thread about it. Surely that will only draw more attention to the original thread that you dislike so much.

Anyway, just to reiterate whats already been said, if you don't like it don't look at it. And the fact that it regularly tops the list must be an indication of how active a thread it is. Those of us who do post on it are enjoying our discussions, how can that possibly bother you?

Why is it hard not to look? You have free will so don't click on it. "Problem" solved!

The stuck topic is at the top all the time, no one is complaining about THAT..... it's easy enough to ignore, right?

The only complaint i have about the thread is how long it takes to upload when im at home (i am one of these lowely people who dont have broadband).

I love the thread, but keep hoping that little spin off threads will happen instead for peeps like me

I wouldn't let that stop you joining mate. Either way we are always delighted to have new people join in the thread, post away mate!

And I'm not even gonna waste my breath asking how a thread can annoy people, it's just so sad, ridiculous and really shows the intelligence of some people.

I too can't stand that thread. When i log on i am tempted to start looking at it, but once i realise how many pages there are i loose interest. It just goes to show how powerful these soaps are - i am sure many if the posters have completly forgotten thats its only a story, its not real, they are just acting, when they 'notice the way he looked' etc, as if its real! Its half amusing, half sad, that its taken that seriously. And the adoration of the 2 characters is incredible.
Maybe people should start more Coronation Street threads themselves, then THE thread wont be compulsive reading unless you really want to get that involved.

I can't stand that thread either it's always there like a bad smell.
Can't you pin it or something so that it doesn't go down and I don't have to see it ALL the time.

Its always there because its popular and people are posting on it which is the point of these threads.
