Cat plug in things

We've had our cat for about 6 weeks she's 4 years old and great

she is really inconsistent in mood sometimes affectionate other times aloof - I hear this is normal for cats

sometimes though she is really jumpy and seems scared of us and everything

has anyone tried those plug in things they advertise on telly or have any tips

for a minute I thought this was going to be a thread about a cat that was able to plug in electrical devices by it's self....

if you mean the feliway plug ins then yes a lot of people have used them successfully. May be a good move for you to help your new arrival relax a bit. I'm sure she will over time anyway but will help you a long for now.

actually would be useful as my kitten has chewed through my mobile charger. At last a cat which has actual use and purpose I never thought I would see the day......

I was quite surprised at how expensive they are (around £18), but I guess if they work, it's worth it. I need one that wakes my cats up!

I had problems with my cat (I think he was being 'bullied' when on patrol) and although it's not cheap, the Feliway electric diffuser and the spray I bought definitely helped calm him down.

It was weeks of upset cat. Purchased the Feliway stuff. A week later ... happy cat.

Not sure I've any advice on how to stop a cat being jumpy. My cat is a kitten indoors: cuddly and affectionate. Outside he's a wild terror who looks at you with disdain, while jittery at even the rustle of a single leaf.

Maybe your cat will settle down in time, Peanut81? Does she have a den where she can sleep undisturbed?

It's cheaper to buy Feeliway on line from somewhere like PetMeds .

Is it really much cheaper?

The diffuser is £19 (but once you have the diffuser you only then have to buy refills which are about £12) but if you buy online you then have to pay £3.95 postage, so not sure you save anything.

You might be right Lippincote, though I think my vets charge £26

I use a D.A.P. diffuser for my dog (separation anxiety) and it certainly has helped.
