Philips Dvdr70 Problem
i have purchased a dvdr70 and am having trouble. i can't get it to detect blank discs (both dvdr and cdr) i have updated to the latest firmware. if i burn the dvdr using my pc dvdrw drive then it detects the dvd. i tried two type of dvdr ( bulkpaq and vivastar) has anyone got any ideas
also what make of media is best and where can get it? |

Don't understand why you are trying CDR as it won't write to them.
Are you using DVD+R's? Mine works fine with TDK (Richer Sounds) and Imation (E-Buyer) DVD+RW's have not tried DVD+R's yet. |

No they won't work, it's DVD+R and +RW machine. It will play -R and
-RW (finalised) but not record on them! Check the OM page 5. |

I use philips branded ones, dont use cheaper data only discs as they might cause issues i invested in a 5 pack of philips DVD+RW discs for £20 (or something) and i probably wont need to buy any more again
