Top Up on Threepay - How?
I'm asking on behalf of me brother - he's been into the local PayPoint shop and asked for a '3' top-up.
According to the literature that came with the phone, they should be able do this without any card as the PayPoint machine will print out a 16 digit number, which you then type into the phone. However, blank faces all around at the shop. Is there definatly NO e-top card? Anyone else have trouble? How do you TopUp? (oh, he doesn't have a debit/credit card so that route is out) |

No cards yet but will come shortly.
Many places should be able to provide 3 top up, carphone etc |

Yeah, I had problems too. There was literature that came with the phone that assured me I could top-up at any Post Office, the Post Office website confirmed this.
But on going into my local Post Office there were just blank faces and the staff hadn't heard anything about 3 topups! Methinks 3 needs to do a bit of communicating to these sort of places how their top-up system works... |

The e-top up terminals do provide receipts printed with the pin number (in fact this system will eventually be replacing swipe cards and scratch cards on all networks).
Both Vodafone and '3' already use this system. Retailers are aware of this, but I guess staff training is the problem here. |
