I loved the episode and the 2 parter...I just hated the last scene, cringe worthy, I was hoping maybe it'd be explained away by her having some sort of alien infection that put her in heat, but alas, no. At least the Doctor picks up Rory next week to try and detract Amy from vying for his own affections

I just got an image of her diary being filled with pages of scribbles of "I KILLED THE DOCTOR!" - imagine if Eleven found that before he died.

I think Matt is shaping up to be my favourite Dr, he's just fabulous, perfect casting

Loved that one!

Not fussed about Amy pouncing on the Doctor. I did like his reaction though.

That last scene was cringeworthy. This is what I hate about Steven Moffat's writing - he always includes some crap romance. Amy's engaged - that last scene turned her into a cheating slapper Moffat can't write women to save his life!

So how in the name of the Mighty Jagrafess of the Holy Hadrojassic Maxarodenfoe (or Raxacoricafallapotorious if you prefer ) was that Angel this week moving while it was stone...?

It's not as if the two episodes were written by different people, Moffat! If the people who make this stuff up can't keep it straight, then I daresay we're all doomed. ”

But it wasn't stone, was it? It couldn't have been as stone can't move. It just looked like stone.

So River would only know what she told the Doctor, when he dies???

So River doesn't marry him she kills him.

What was the music during that last bit in confidential? Where she was going around the angels and had to fall onto the mat.

Does that mean Octavian knows the Doctor as well? He seemed to know the 'good man'.

Actually he's being written back into history - because of the crack the Earth has never been attacked, it's history has be rewritten. The Doctor is hoping to bring back this hostory. He's unsure how, though, so is banking on needing to save Amy and Rory's relationship.

My theory is that he's on the wrong path, and really he must break them up. Simply sleeping with Amy would've sealded the crack (which is unusual; in sex the...no, won't go there ).

Dear diary,

Today I killed the Doctor. As always, handcuffs were involved.

Why isn't there a poll this week?

What I really don't like about this Doctor is the way he's always telling people to shush or shouting at people when in previous incarnations he'd be sympathetic

Telling Amy to shutup when she was fearing for her life was not pleasant and something else that alienates me from enjoying this new Doctor all the time..

I imagine they're taking it somewhere...

Also if he turned down Amy he must be gay so maybe moffat's agenda has been realise, he's doing the one thing previous execs wouldn't dare, making the Doctor gay

I can certainly remember Nine and Ten telling companions etc. to shut up at times - especially Ten.

How long does it usually take for the poll to pop up after an episode has transmitted?

I think when you're 907 there isn't anything you haven't tried, including sleeping with the same sex, so calling the Doctor 'gay' doesn't really fit.

I hated the final scene because it utterly robbed Amy of her dignity. She has all this potential to be AWESOME and the writers aren't tapping into it. They're all men and I think they don't know how to write female characters except by tying them somehow to their 'love' for a man. It's really depressing.

You obviously haven't seen Colin Baker's Doctor. He was arrogance personified.

Plus that whole post traumatic stress thing... nothing like KNOWING you're about to die to make you take risks you otherwise wouldn't.

And yes, that's something I think a lot of people are missing, the Doctor's reaction was definitely that of a man a) who wasn't interested (BARROWMAN! *fist shake*) and b) had suddenly worked out he was kinda overlooking something about humans again and set off to sort it out ASA-bloody-P. It's addressing an obvious situation and lets Moffat deal and move on while delivering a funny scene, a good bit of motivation to keep the story moving after finding out about the crack in the first third (ish) of the series AND delivers a good bit of fan service at the same time. Well played sir, well played.
