I really like Grumpy Len, i find Carrie Ann and Bruno agree too much, and i'm not a fan of the props so i seem to agree with Len alot

Now that i've got used to Pam i quite like her and i enjoy watching her dance. Her partner is abit short for her though i think.

Erin is my favourite and i hope she wins but i won't be upset if Evan wins. Gone even more off Nicole now, i just don't find her very likeable so don't want her to win.

I really enjoyed the group swing competition and thought they all looked pretty good. I'm wondering if they will start doing this more on SCD.

Just a few thoughts.

Nicole is a talented dancer but boy can she whinge and complain.

Erin looked like a purple ostritch

Even, I agreed with the judges it was too balletic I find him an odd fish, his face doesnt move above the mouth most odd.

Pam....I was glad the public voted for her this week I like her (which is a big shock to me to be honest) she doesnt deserve to leave the competition yet I dont think.

Neicey....what can one say !!! she makes me laugh and I would have been sorry to see her go.

The chap with Cheryl cant think of his name........his best dance.

Felt sorry for Chelsie as I like her but the right one went home for me.

Chad is so very annoying and usually is poor too. I hope he goes soon. Pamela is always "on" - it's kinda sad. The judges seem to over credit her too, does she = ratings? Regardless, she's not too good either. Evans been a disappointment, Nicole seems to find no joy in it and Niecey needs to find a new hook. She was funny and likeable at first but the food thing is old now.
For me, Erin is the only one whose having a good time and improving.

A good week, I thought; I love both the samba and the AT, and both can be tricky:


Evan: What on earth went wrong? His samba was dreadful. He is talented enough to have mastered some of the technique, but it was completely lacking. I know he bumped his head, but even his swing dance was poor. His 5th placing was about right, though I'm sure he will come back with a vengeance next week.

Nicole: some of her samba looked brilliant, and Derek had clearly spent time teaching her some technique, but it was too wild, and spoilt by too many tricks. They deserved to win the swing, if only because when it was nearing the end and everyone else was dying on their feet, she and Derek suddenly put on a new spurt of energy!!!

Erin: I can't take to Erin; she's too strident and OTT, but I enjoyed her samba (in spite of the absolutely hideous dress), but then Maks spoils things. Why? Erin can dance, he doesn't have to be so silly.

Pam: Continues to surprise me as she is clearly a potentially talented dancer. Shame she wasn't partnered with one of the good pros though, as she is being let down.

Neicey: I agreed with both Carrie-Ann and Len. The comedy in the routine wasn't needed as the dance wasn't bad, but I didn't find it distracting either.

Chad: Certainly a great improvement, but his posture is still poor. I know he is tall, and dancing with a (relative to him!) short partner, but he must learn to keep his back straighter, and stop stooping.

Jake: 10 out of 10 for effort, but the dance wasn't good. It was out of control in places and untidy, and lacked technique. Not entirely his fault, I feel. Chelsie is an amazing dancer..... but mostly in other styles of dance, unfortunately she is not a technically good ballroom/Latin dancer.

The results show seemed to drag this week, but maybe I was just tired!

That is interesting what you say about Chelsie, is she not trained in b/r and latin like the others are then?

Evan: Looked like the ballerina that pops up when you open your pink jewelry box.

Nicole: Meh. Not a samba. Len was right. And Derek turning her upside down 20 times didn't deserve to win the swing.

Jake: Arguing with Chelsie all the time was his downfall.

Chad: Not bad. Whatever.

Pam: Not her best dance, but she has endeared herself to the public now. She gets on with it, and her acting skills are surprisingly good.

Erin: Definitely her best dance, no matter what Maks was doing. They should've won the swing comp. They were doing some crazy stuff, but the camera wasn't on them enough.

Niecy: Her best dance, also. Louis has been doing some great work since he came back. Len was also right about her, the touch of comedy worked here, even though I was dreading it, her dancing was good.

Does anybody know what dances they are doing next week? I haven't seen that anywhere.

Chelsie started dancing at a very young age and won her first National title at age 11.

She was an International Latin Finalist in 2006 and won the 10 Dance National Youth Championship 2005.

So, yes I think you could say that she is Ballroom/Latin trained!

Yes, she has done ballroom and Latin, and as I said she is a great dancer, but I feel she lacks the teaching experience the other pros (most of them, anyway!) have, and that lack of experience shows up with her partners' lack of technique.

But I also seem to remember seeing her dance a fabulous contemporary routine and I feel that's where her real dance-strength lies.

Now most of imo the weaker dancers are out; it's nice to see how the contenders are improving.
Nicole; well she is a fantastic dancer of course but she does have the problem of appearing to have had no "journey" or learning curve thus far! I think Derek is the one that needs to learn, we know she can do "showdances" to a professional level but I personally want to see a strictly ballroom level of technique coming from her - what's so frustrating is I bet she could do it too if he only gave her some proper choreography. I'm so mad at him cos we know he is capable of it . I am also warming to Nicole's personality more, she is very hard on herself.
Evan; another one that is a beautiful dancer but his feet are atrocious, really flipper like & flat-footed looking. Why does n't Anna focus on getting rid of that instead of getting him to do twirl after twirl, which we obviously know he should be fantastic at . Got the same syndrome as Derek methinks; showing off his good points & not focusing on improving his (very few) bad ones.
Erin; she is the dark horse imo & is improving, I think she is going to have problems in getting the latin perfect cos of her long limbs but in the ballroom I think if she stops over-analyzing & flirting with Maks & works hard she could look like a Princess. He needs to get over himself & stop showing off & start showcasing her more.
Pam; I am surprised at her performance skills actually, I'm impressed. Now she's stopped the wierd, aging sex-kitten act & has realised she's actually quite good we are seeing some nice dancing. She does need to improve her technique but if she stays in I have a feeling she'll also be a contender for the semi's. I agree I think her partner not being so well known as the other professionals is probably affecting her votes.
Chad; the AT was his dance but I just don't like him - can't help it, he put me off with all the psuedo showmance with Cheryl (whom I have never warmed to anyway tbh). I hope he goes next, as I have no time for him & FF all their VT's & chat with Brooke.
Niecy; I really like her & think she is improving a lot, however she & Chad are the worst dancers at this stage. I'm fed up with the silly food gimmicks now, enough already girlfriend - just dance! I also think she has been mismatched with Louis which is not helping. I do rate him as a dancer/choreographer but to my mind they just look wrong together.
Bruno is still really getting up my nose with his sychophantic a*se-licking - aghhhhhhhh. As soon as he stands up I press the FF button .

Jake & Chelsie I think this was the right time for Jake & Chelsie to leave the show. Their samba was not very good.

Evan & Anna I was shocked how bad this performance was. It was too balletic and no bounce whatsoever. It was Evan's worst performance in this season.

Niecy & Louis Their Argentine Tango was much better than i thought it was going to be. I liked the fact they put some humor into their Tango.

Erin & Maksim I felt this was undermarked by Len. Maks did take his shirt off but that didn't stop the flow of their samba.

Chad & Cheryl Improvement from Chad but he still has bad posture.

Nicole & Derek Nicole and Derek's samba was fantastic and was underscored by Len. I wish Nicole would stop moaning in her vt's.

Pamela & Damian You can tell Pamela is working really hard so she is not in the bottom two again. Pamela's leg lines were ugly. I have a feeling she will be eliminated next week.

Jake: Steps were much too big. Too many lines and not enough basic Samba steps. No bounce. Loved himself too much. Glad he's gone.

Evan: Again very large steps! (Wonder why?) Quite balletic and no real Samba interpretation.

Niecy: Does she have prior dance training? High leg extension suggests some form of training, could be gymnastics! She was stepping/stomping not dancing. I did not like the comedy, it detracted from rather than added to the performance.

Erin: What a dreadful dress! She looked like something out of Sesame Street. I found her Samba to be too aggresive! Very strange. There was no need to lose the shirt, perhaps Maks is getting desperate.

Chad: He is much too tall for Cheryl. But this was the best dance he's done so far. He was totally into the flavour of the dance. Fabulous!

Nicole: This was all so totally OTT. So many gyrations, lines and very little basic Samba. Come on Derek, stop showing off and give her a decent dance routine.

Pamela: I really hate the wigs! She's got good hair, let's see it. Damien is too small for Pamela and this does not help his presentation of her in any of the routines. She stepped/acted her way through this routine, she did not dance! Her bottom was sticking out and she looked quite strange.
