The end of Flesh and Stone made me think od Doomsday! I mean you know the bit where Rose and the Doctor are hanging on for their lives while the evil enemy is sucked into the void/light/gravity thing, only difference is, the companion was rescued by teleport right before the hanging part rather than during.
And then cut to a beach where good friends say goodbye!

Or is it just me?
I'm not saying it means anything, it's not identical, but it just suddenly seemed familiar is all

I thought exactly the same thing.

I found myself wanting Amy to let go too!

Except this was littered with Irony, rather than all the Void stuff and closing the void thing, we have simple physics, statues that are draining the power, cuts the ships gravity, nearest gravity switched to the crack, they got sucked in, they essentially killed themselves by being stupid, brilliant.

I assumed they weren't sucked in, they just fell in. The ship crashed at 90 degrees so they were walking up the wall held in place by artificial gravity. When this failed they fell downwards, and the crack was beneath them.
