On BBC iPlayer page for the HD version of FaS, it says:
Coming tomorrow
BBC Three at 8:00 pm
BBC iPlayer soon after
WHY so late?

Probably because it's in HD so its a bigger file size and takes longer to upload

just a guess though

Right, but even ashes to ashes isn't up yet, so your forced to watch it in SD if you can't wait.

Annoying....

Oh the hardship...what do you care about? The episode? Or the look? If you're sad enough to be into HD at such an early stage in its development, quite frankly, I don't care...but I do feel your pain...clearly you would never have enjoyed the episode as it was broadcast on BBC1.

iPlayer is a bit slack though, you can already download the ep in HD from the usual places.

Why they can't put the episodes onto iPlayer the minute they start on tv is beyond me, surely they don't have to wait until they broadcast it and hit record?

How strange to call someone sad because they like programmes to look better

Tending to agree. Surely the content of the programme is what matters? Is there really that much difference?

I tried to watch in HD just simply to see what all the HD fuss was about, only to find myself confronted with an error message.
I think I'll just stick to SD.

I have used iplayer to watch TBB, VotD & FaS as well as two episodes of Ashes to Ashes with my PC linked to my HDTV, I watched TBB and ep 2 of A2A in SD and the picture was bloody awfull while the rest I watched in HD and the picture was the same as it is when broadcast on BBC1.
Maybe the OP has had the same experience.
