Danielle and Lauren are right at the front, JP in practically standing in front of poor Sophie and Steph and Jenny are punted to the end.
The manipulation is so brazen it borders on funny. |

Jenny is great but they are trying to get her out by having her sing 1st or 2nd two weeks running.
![]() Not sure what i think about Jenny tbh (probably souldn't be posting this in appreciation thread ). Love her enthusiasm but her performances are sometimes a wee bit hit and miss. She's brilliant when she doesn't sound nasally like when she did "Songbird". Her version of Songbird was brilliant, best of the night. She just needs to keep the nasal-ness at bay! ![]() Not really getting why she seems to be the least popular of here though. I prefer her to the likes of Jessia and Sophie.

Jenny has an unfair advantage simply because she's Scottish. English people tend to vote for the "best" contestant but Scots always vote for the Scottish contestant. That's why there's been greater proportion of Scottish winners on other talent shows than population would dictate; they all have their 5 minutes of fame and then vanish - David Sneddon anyone? Michelle McManus, Leon Jackson..
. I actually find it rather offensive if i'm totally honest. ![]() It's your second sentence that really gets to me. You're basically calling Scottish people stupid and saying the English are better. It wasn't even subtle either! We'll see if you're bold enough to reply to this ![]() The only Scottish person i voted for is Leon and i don't regret that for 1 minute. He thouroughly deserved to win. I think people wrongly equate not doing well with being untalented whic is very ignorant. He's very talented, he just wasn't given a chance. Gonnae do me a favour and come up with an original excuse as to why Scotland is full of talented people. We just can't help it !

Plus the fact the camera was doing a group shot in the group performance when Jenny sang a solo line. When the other girls had their line to sing, the camera was zoomed in on them. I definitely think the producers/ALW want her out.

Maybe as Andrew and John don't want her being shown, we should vote to keep her there like Jodie as Nancy!!!

Jenny 'winning the public vote' says Daily Star
Get yer money on her while you can:
JENNY Douglas is the public’s favourite to play Dorothy in The Wizard Of Oz. The Scottish babe has come top every week since the live shows started. Jenny, 18, from Edinburgh, will be over the moon to discover she has bagged around a quarter of the total votes cast so far in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s search for a a leading lady for his new musical version of the tale. However punters have been slow to pick up on her popularity, and she has been an outsider in the betting at around 16-1. But we can reveal that Danielle Hope, 18, the bookies’ favourite, is trailing her rival with less than 10% of the vote on average. Jen’s nearest challenger is Middlesbrough lass Jessica Robinson, 18, who is around 10% behind her most weeks. A BBC insider told us: “While all the attention may be on some of the other girls, Jenny is quietly and effectively going about her business. “She has to be favourite to take the ruby slippers. “She seems to have struck a chord with viewers who are picking up the phone and voting for her week in, week out. “This is sure to give Jenny a boost going into the finals.” http://www.dailystar.co.uk/posts/vie...e-of-Dorothy-/ |

I've seen a bit of this show and I think Jenny is the best out of all the singers. I hope she wins. Her singing Songbird was excellent.

She does have a nice voice, as can be seen from some videos on YouTube of her in 2008....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vSKhI...eature=channel When Jenny looks into the camera, it's easy to see why viewers are voting for her, especially people who have never been on this forum and so they're not influenced in any way and they are voting with their gut feeling on what they have seen and heard! I hope Jenny gets a good song for a change this week! |

I love the original of Songbird and hate cover versions of it, and even though Jenny's one of my favourites I thought 'oh no' but it was sooooo beautiful. It actually reminded me of the original, and she reminds me of a young Christine McVie (who wrote Songbird).
I hope she gets a good song this week. |

I hope she gets a good song this week. I agree with you, Songbird has been done so many times that it's quite irritating when people sing it, but Jenny did a brilliant job of it. I think it's because she really sang it truthfully and from her heart (I know it sounds cliché but it's the only way to describe it). She is a lot like Christine McVie although I think Jenny has a much more "flowing" voice. I do like Christine McVie's voice though, I can see the similarities. |

And here's another Scot to look out for in the future.... Alex Gardner!
http://www.alexgardnermusic.com/ I saw Alex last year supporting Paolo Nutini and he's got a really good voice... and he looks cute too! ![]() http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Ly_Us6MOEM .. << He's had more views of this song than all the Dorothys put together!!!
