And what did it mean when the Doctor said goodbye to Pond in the woods, the last close-up chat, and he had his jacket back on, even though the Angels had it?? Maybe it's part of the lost time theory....????

Looked at the jacket sequence again, and while he's certainly wearing it when he apparently shouldn't be, he must have the sleeves rolled right up, which is very odd. When he puts his hands into Amy's and then touches her shoulder his whole forearm is bare. And the state of his thumbnail!
Ewwwwwww!

I wonder if 12pm is the time when Amy is supposed to be getting married and also the starting point of the crack.

There's another error, that probably isn't an error but might be a spoiler. At around 17 minutes in on the iPlayer when the Doctor leaves Amy with the soldiers.

What with all the frame-by-frame analysis that's going on, I'm just waiting for someone to post screencaps of all the pictures on her bedroom wall. After all, there must be something significant in there! Mustn't there? |

The clock radio skips 24 hours, from (let's say) one second before noon on 25 June to noon on 26 June.
Hadn't noticed the hanky panky with the jacket, though - must re-watch that bit. |

Mustn't there? That didn't come to anything IIRC!

Remember all the speculation about the stuff in the little girl's room in Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead?
That didn't come to anything IIRC! ![]() When the Doctor comes back he doesn't just have a jacket on but a totally different variation on his outfit, the tone and context of the discussion are not in keeping with the prior one, and, of course, we never did find out what was so important about what he told her when she was 7. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4q9IWPujQmo I also agree with the notion that he does go back and see young amy too, this is supported by the fact that

I also have a suspicion that we'll be hit over the head in a non-too-subtle manner with the ones that were significant when the time for their revelation arrives. |

At the end, when the Doctor looks at Amy's clock, it turns to 12:00 pm....
As it's night-time, shouldn't it read 0:00 AM ?? The correct terms are 12 midnight and 12 noon. Better still use the 24-hour clock (or whatever even better system I'm sure they will be using in the 22nd century) |

I think this is a little different, it is blatantly obvious that there are two versions of The Doctor running around. I don't buy in to half-baked theories at all, but this one is so obvious I think you would have to be pretty stupid to dismiss it as casually as that. Watch the clip of the Doctor and Amy talking again.

Also, the Doctor says to Amy "remember what I told you when you were 7"..... I can't think what he said, i'm guessing because we haven't seen it it yet. It must have been when we hear the TARDIS engines while Amelia is in the Garden. |

I like the idea that the clock in fact suddenly jumped 24 hours.
That does fit in with what we actually saw, although doesn't explain why it went from 1159 in the morning to midday in what was obviously from the establishing shot, the middle of the night! The clock almost certainly wasn't a "real" one. It was a real clock box with the face replaced with CGI. The layout of the face didn't look quite as you'd expect, with the date in numbers presented the American way with the month first. If they went to all that trouble to generate it electronically, they would surely have got the time and date detail right, or at least the way they wanted it to be! I love all this analysis of every detail in every frame looking for hidden meanings. It makes it so much fun, and is a great example of how DW can be enjoyed on many different levels! What about that picture in a frame behind the clock for instance? It shows presumably Amy, but with whom?

Possibly more than two versions running around. There is a preview clip of an older looking man wearing the Doctors clothes as well. An older version of this Doctor?

All I was saying was that these types of theories have not always been shown to be significant in the past, despite all the speculation.

Gosh you guys are hard-core Dr Who fans! Freaky!
I did notice the weird thing about the clock (and the strap thing on the doctor) but thought nothing of it. Simply continuity errors and production team made. |

The most obvious thing I can think of that the Doctor told 7 year old Amelia was 'Trust me, I'm the Doctor'.

What I found intriguing, as well as the stuff mentioned on here was that when Amy asked what the Doctor had said when she was 7 he said, "that's not the point."
It's like he was saying it's more important for her to recall what he said than it was for her to tell her. I liked that a lot...even though it might have been meaningless. |

Look closer at the screengrab - the date does indeed change from 6/25 to 6/26 while the time goes from 11.59am to 12.00pm

Fans of Dorothy will also notice a pretty glaring error in the little cartoon before the programme that mashes up Doctor Who and Over The Rainbow. Can we blame this on Steven Moffatt? I'd like to think so.
Obviously, it wasn't up there with the Graham Norton thing, but... |
