When Amy was walking through the forest with her eyes closed...
When Amy was walking through the forest with her eyes closed, why were the angels unable to move? I thought they only turned to stone when they were being observed?
(Sorry if I've missed something obvious but I had a few interruptions during last night's show!) |

THe Doctor said something about them being distracted because of the crack (i think) so if she has to walk like she can see and they will automatically kick in their defence mechanism and turn to stone. Its only when she trips and drops her communicator and starts shouting to The Doctor that she can't find it that they start to move and realise that she can't see.

For me, that was a great moment when they started moving, Truly creepy. I think the angels out do any other villain in terms of scaryness.

that was a bit rubbish. If a mere BLINK is enough to let them advance, then someone with their eyes closed acting as if they can see really shouldn't make any difference.

If I'd been in their place, however distracted I was, I'd want to kill/displace the one living entity who was preventing me from moving freely, and getting away from the crack.

Try this thread. Basically you just need to accept the rules as they come, because they really didn't make that much sense to begin with.
