I mean, they managed to have static songs during 'dancing week', songs that no Big Band has ever played in 'Big Band week', so I wouldn't put it past them.”

What ever happens, Danielle should not get summertime. She might surprise us. But, her voice isn't going to pull that off imo. And none of them would. Jessica should certainly not get it.

Charlotte couldn't even pull Summertime off either. Never heard such caterwauling as she was doing in the church.

I still think they will all get awful song choices.

IDAD might be a bit odd for someone that young to sing it. "Then i was young and unafraid" doesn't go with an 18-19 year old singing it. OMO is killer fast in places and the emotional range goes all the way through sweet, innocent, dreamy and in love to angry and despairing . There's also massive climbs and big mountain tops on "blind", "pre-tending" and "known" It has minefield written all over it. Its also a song that probably doesn't tell the story if you sing it nicely - I like jagged edges for cutting emotions - but the audience may want Salonga and vote accordingly.

Surprised he doesn't use more ALW stuff but i suppose that would be seen as advertising himself.

I think someone is going to get One Night Only again like Jessie did in IDA. And I think it'll be used as a stitch up.

Steph (who I love) could get it and she could do it well, but they'll be 'oh she's not Dorothy, look she would be better in something funky like Dreamgirls'.

or they'll give it to someone clunky for want of a better word like Jessica or Sophie like Jessie was so they'll look very awkward

We've already had "One Night Only" this series.... Dani had it the week she went

They already used One Night Only. Dani sang it and she went that week too.

Oops... CaroUK was faster with the trigger button

There was, I saw it for my birthday about 6 years ago

Didn't Sophie sing Popular in her audition?

Would love to see someone sing that though, hope they don't give anyone Defying Gravity but I have a feeling they will. Maybe Steph could pull it off...not sure though.

In the group performances in the final 20 stages they had songs from We Will Rock You, Blood Brothers, Sweet Charity, Chicago and Legally Blonde.

I wouldn't be surprised to see another We Will Rock You Song being used and maybe something from Chicago?

I reckon they'll give Sophie Springtime for Hitler.

i would love them to give some of the girls songs such as

"think of meryl streep" (fame)
"on my own" (les Mis)
"one song glory" (rent) (i know traditionally its a mans song, but i have heard a couple of versions by women and it works really well)
"take that look of your face" (tell me on a sunday/song and dance)
"bring on the men" (jekyll and hyde)
"with one look" (sunset boulevard)

I'd like to see Danielle get "On My Own" or "Good Morning Baltimore", maybe. Or maybe "I Can Hear The Bells".

It's bound to be something good.

Hopefully.

Now I can imagine Jenny singing, that hitler song in my head and I'm laughing.

Would like someone to get 'Hopelessly devoted to you' from Grease because it is a young persons song.

I would LOVE love Jessica to sing 'Good Morning Baltimore'

I think Sophie could do 'On My Own' justice.

Great song, I think it would be the perfect choice for Lauren.

Before Stephanie left, for the remaining girls I came up with

Lauren - Tomorrow (Annie) - to make her seem younger
Steph - Let's Fall In Love (from De Lovely by Cole Porter) - great song, fun lyrics
Sophie - I Don't Know How To Love Him - Another fav of mine, given to a contestant who isn't already as sexualised as some of the others
Jessica - Somewhere That's Green - Little Shop Of Horrors suits ehr quirkiness but would give her a vocal showcase
Jenny - As Long As He Needs Me - to push her on vocal power and emotion

Now Stephanie's gone, I feel like stitcching them all up with The Time Warp, Jerry Springer: The Opera songs etc!

BTW On My Own's already been done by Steph

Ah right lol, knew On My Own was in there somewhere - I was ill that night so wasn't as focused, even had to Google Jenny's song choice afterwards!

I'd like to see...
Lauren- As Long as He Needs Me or All Grown Up (Bare: A Pop Opera... totally not going to happen though as it's a pretty unknown musical)
Danielle- Hopelessly Devoted to You
Jessica- Come To Your Senses (Tick Tick Boom!)
Sophie- Out Tonight (Rent)
Steph- The Wizard and I (Wicked)

I'd also love to see things like Don't Cry For Me Argentina, Nobody's Side (Chess), I Knew Before (Tell Me On A Sunday), Memory, Fine Fine Line (Avenue Q), Whispering (Spring Awakening) and A Change In Me (Beauty and The Beast).

For a group performance I am desperate to see Mama Who Bore Me from Spring Awakening

I'd love to see someone do 'It's A Fine, Fine Line' from Avenue Q. I'd like to see other songs from Avenue Q but I can think of anything else you could use before the watershed.

Group song could be 'Cell Block Tango' from Chicago.

If the do a song from Oliver I hope it's 'Oom Pah Pah' or 'It's A Fine Life' I'm sick of ALAHNM

A New Life from Jekyll and Hyde. Fab song that really builds up with a bit of welly at the end!
