Don't vote and instead spend the money on delicious ice cream treats.

That's fine, if the show doesn't ask me to vote then I won't.

Oh, wait ...

It's like saying, do you want ..

(a) broccoli

(b) sprouts

(c) strawberry trifle (but sorry we ran out of strawberries)

You kind of react by going, "okay, well it's not ideal but I will definitely take the pudding and just shove extra cream on to compensate."

”

Like I said - vote for who you want to see in the role of Dorothy, if there's no-one - why waste your cash.

Why would anyone bother to vote if you don't wish to see any of them as Dorothy.

I don't like cream, so no amount of that would get me voting for strawberry trifle. I'd save my cash until a lemon cheesecake came along.

But we don;t have to do everything everyone asks us to - surely this is all about thinking for yourself - not being manipulated by ALW, or anyone else for that matter.

Because the show is asking you to vote who you want to be Dorothy.

Therefore ...

I don't like A

I don't like B

I don't mind C.

So I vote for C.

Hypothetically, the girl I wanted to be Dorothy could instead be away at dog training classes in Edinburgh, ferrying her disappointment across the Mersey, or angrily biting heads off jelly babies.

Hence, we can only vote for who we are given in the final.

If they don't want us to vote then the show should stop demanding it.

I don't see any manipulation at all. People vote for who they think would be a good Dorothy. Nobody's forcing them. If ALW liked someone and I didn't there's no way I would vote for that person. The voting public should be given credit for having minds of their own, they're not a load of sheep.

Anyway, if ALW gives compliments or criticism to any of the girls, that's what he's there for. Is he supposed to sit there and not say a word ? It's his money and reputation on the line, he's entitled to have an opinion.

If the manipulation is referring to the song choices, they've all had good and bad songs, no one person has been given the best songs all through.

People should vote for who they like, but to vote for someone they don't think would make a good Dorothy just to spite ALW is just plain stupid. If it wasn't for him we wouldn't have a show to watch.

Sorry but....you are very very naive. ALW's dream is for the show to be as 'scripted' as an episode of Eastenders. The producers try and make his dream come true. However, as we've seen, it can go wrong - like Danielle messing up On My Own. You're believing exactly what they want you to - that everything's happening fairly, without any manipulative influence from the judges or anywhere else - which is ultimately the best way of getting you to do what they want!

I think the split vote last night cost Jess her place, without it she probably wouldn't have gone, after the first result Laurn fans had the heads up to get on the phones and they obviously did.

I don't complain too much about the results because I don't vote, if it was down to the public vote alone I would, but if he can and does go against the public vote then it is just a con, they want us to vote and pay for the show but don't want to respect the decision.

If he wants to choose then do it, don't ask people to spend money. He wants Lauren or Danielle and it is nicely set up that he gets one of them.

Thats just silly, why victimise Danielles chances because ALW favours her?
Its not her fault and he obviously knows she could be a good Dorothy, she deserves the same chances as the other girls.

It's all sorted ... the BBC have now issued a statement asking that 'in order to avoid a misrepresented result', viewers who previously supported the seven girls so far eliminated should refrain from voting and indeed from actually watching the show.

As a result, pre-estimates for the final couple of programmes of the series have expected viewing figures as 'somewhere in the upper eighties.'

Your post is way out of line by posting a spoiler on a non spoiler thread

Agreed, I am very angry, why do people do that? There is already a spoiler thread for those who want to know who went.

That is extremely patronising. I am certainly not naive. I stand by what I said, I vote according to who I like, not who Andrew likes. If we happen to like the same person, so be it. I spotted who I like at the audition stage before any of them had made comments and my view hasn't changed. I've watched enough reality shows to recognise manipulation when I see it and I'm old enough to know my own mind. I think you are the one who is naive, believing in any conspiracy theory that is flying around.

But why would you do something you don't want to do just because a TV show asks you to ? Seems like madness to me.

The show asks you to vote for your who you like - if you don't like any of them, don't vote. Simples.

If you are indifferent to one, that doesn't make her the best for Dorothy, it just means you don't think any of them are good enough, and no amount of manipulation would have me voting for mediocrity.

I won't be voting, no matter how many times Graham Norton /ALW / FMs on here ask me to - I can make my own mind up - and that is me saving my money, and just enjoying the entertainment.

Abba funny you should say that because when I saw Danielle was up first and singing 'On My Own', I just couldn't believe it, - and then despite the fact she didn't blow the audience away with the gift of a song, she was still praised.

I thought Danielle looked absolutely beautiful last night - her hair and dress were perfect, but she did not deliver. Every other girl produced great performances - even Jenny was better than Danielle last night imo.

So I have decided to vote like mad for Steph now, in the hope that Steph or Lauren beat Danielle.

I don't think there is a conspiracy, but I do think ALW has gone too far this time with his favouritism.

BTW I didn't have a problem with ALW saying we should think of all the past performances as well as last night's, because the voting was opening before the last contestant sang - now that I did have a problem with as it is simply not fair on those who sing later in the line up.

PS That's twice today that I know of spoiler information being posted outside the spoiler thread.
