Do some people leave their box on all the time?
It seems a great shame when Humax went to such trouble to achieve an outstandingly good standby power consumption. |

It seems a great shame when Humax went to such trouble to achieve an outstandingly good standby power consumption. The HDR on the other hand takes 20+ seconds so mine normally gets left on all day (over the weekend) from the first time it is switched on. In fact I normally use the timed power on feature to make sure when I get back from work the HDR is on and ready. |

That's wierd, never heard of anyone with an english postcode still having access. On mine selecting an HD programme on 103 simply sets a reservation on 119. Off to try 977.
Just set a recording for Red Heat tonight from 977. THe schedule has a reservation for Channel 119 ITV 1 HD just the same as using 103. Pretty sure there's no red button prompt either. Need to wait for a true HD transmission to check |

In fariness I haven't tried with reservations just with live tv.
There does not appear to be any way to reserve a red button recording. Going to find a suitable programme, reserve it on 113, then hopefully red button to the Eurobird 1 transmission and manually record it. It will be interesting to compare picture quality and also see if the red button service now has the 16 pixel black column on the right. |
